80/20 Program - APG Federal Credit Union (2024)

100% financing and closing cost assistance to help get you in a home.

In today’s mortgage market, it’s rare to find a conventional loan program requiring $0 down. APGFCU is committed to providing qualified first-time homebuyers with programs that will enhance their homeownership opportunities.

Our 80/20 loan program includes a first mortgage loan amount that is 80% of the purchase price, and a “piggyback” second mortgage for 20% of the purchase price. No down payment is required.

Example:
Purchase Price = $250,000

  • First mortgage loan amount = $200,000 (80%)
  • Second mortgage loan amount = $50,000 (20%)

Another great feature of the 80/20 program is that borrowers can obtain up to 3% of the purchase price in Seller Assistance to help with the closing costs. In the example above, that’s up to $7,500.
