Adelaide Pendragon is a Dragon-type Pokémon Specialist from Hammerlocke of the Galar region. She is the younger sister of Hammerlocke Gym Leader Raihan Pendragon and the wife of Leon Dande, the former Galar Champion.

History
Pre-series
Born and raised in Hammerlocke, Adelaide is the youngest child and only daughter of Lady Kaliyah Pendragon, the former Hammerlocke Gym Leader, and the younger twin sister of Raihan Pendragon.
As a child, Adelaide became quite attached to Dragon-type Pokémon, which was obvious since not only was her mother the Gym Leader but also the owner of a Dragon-type Sanctuary. Adelaide and Raihan spent a lot of time in the Dragon Sanctuary, helping the staff when their mother was busy as a Gym Leader. Sometimes she would wander into the Wild Area and meet the other Dragon-type Pokémon. That scared Raihan and their mother quite a lot. One incident had the family learn Adelaide was able to talk and understand Dragon-type Pokémon.
At the age of 10, Adelaide and her brother left Hammerlocke, to partake in the Gym Challenge. There they would meet their soon-to-be best friends, Leon Dande and Sonia Magnolia. Adelaide eventually dropped out of the Gym Challenge, deciding to focus more on Training Dragon-types, but she would remain traveling with Raihan and Leon (mostly looking after Leon on Sonia's request when she also decided to drop out in the Gym Challenge).
During her travels, Adelaide became very aware she was crushing on Leon, but she kept it to herself, as she didn't want to be that "girl who crushes on their brother's best friend". Sonia was the only one aware of her crush on Leon but promised not to say anything. Unknown to Adelaide, Sonia at times would talk to Leon about Adelaide, later learning that he too liked her.
When Leon became Champion, Adelaide was a bit scared since she knew Leon would gain many fan-girls. She decided to push it to the back of her mind, and focus on becoming a Dragon-type specialist, whereas her brother became the new Hammerlocke Gym Leader.
While she was away from Galar, Adelaide remained in touch with Leon to the point they were pretty much doing a long-distance relationship. Adelaide returned to Galar plenty of times, but neither took up the courage to confess. When she finally came home from the Johto region, Raihan and Sonia teamed up and locked both in the Hammerlock Stadium Vault, forcing the two to confess to each other.
Journey Through the Regions: Galar
Adelaide is set to appear in The Queen of Dragons, where she is doing an exhibition match with her older brother, Raihan. She ends up having a raffle where one member of the audience is able to battle her. Scarlett ends up winning the raffle and the two battle with their Flygon and Hydreigon respectively.

Adelaide is a young woman with a lean and slender built. She has long, black hair with bright teal eyes that stand out against her light brown skin tone.

In the Anime
Prior to the World Coronation Series, Adelaide has returned to Galar after traveling through the regions studying and training to become a Dragon specialist. She is often found standing near her brother and later Leon when he starts getting to know Ash.
During the Sword and Shield arc, Adelaide is first seen with Leon during the time he's found with Ash, and later is seen helping Raihan protecting Sonia.
Alternate Universe

Rather than join Raihan, Leon, and Sonia on their Gym Challenge, Adelaide decides to leave Galar and travel to the other regions and study the other Dragon-types. As a gift, Raihan gives Adelaide a female Trapinch.

- Adelaide was mainly created as a love interest for Leon should Shadow write a fanfic based on the Post-Game.
- The name Adelaide is based on the name "Adalinda" coming from the Old High German name composed of the elements adal "noble" and lind "serpent, snake," hence "noble serpent.
- Adelaide's uniform number is "238".
Notes
- In terms of ages, with Leon becoming Champion at age 10, and following his 10 year time as Champion, Leon would be 20-21 in Sword and Shield. In reference to the timeline for Journey Through the Regions, which is ten years after the game, Adelaide, Leon, Raihan, and Sonia will be in their early 30's.
- In a headcanon for Shadows, she believes of Raihan being of Hammerlocke Nobility hence her using the surname Pendragon for Adelaide.
