Baked Dill Pickle Dip (2024)

Jump to Recipe

I love fried pickles, but don’t always want to make them; this easy baked dill pickle dip has all the tangy, crisp flavor of my favorite appetizer but with the bonus of hot, melted cheese, oh and no frying!

Baked Dill Pickle Dip (1)

One of my all-time favorite appetizers to order at any restaurant are fried pickles. Tangy dill pickles are breaded and then deep-fried until golden brown. Something about the hot dill pickles and that crunchy coating makes me go nuts!

Since I try to avoid frying foods too often, I had to come up with a baked version. Oven-Baked Pickles Chips are AMAZING! But even the baked version can take some time to prepare.

So, once again, I was left to brainstorm ways to enjoy my favorite appetizer without having to put forth much effort.

Recipe Tips

I used dill pickle chips for this recipe that I then coarsely chopped. You can use a bread and butter style pickle, but the flavor would not be the same.

Feel free to add more cheese to this recipe. A handful of Monterey Jack cheese (pepper Jack too) or even white cheddar would taste amazing!

Add fresh herbs to this dip if you really want a kick! Fresh dill would really make this dip taste outstanding!

Watch your dip carefully when it is in the oven, the buttery topping can brown or burn quite easily. Ritz cracker crumb can easily replace the panko in this recipe.

Toss anyleftovers with hot pasta for pickly alfredo sauce, use it as a sandwich spread for an elevated grilled cheese or even use it as a sauce for chicken breast!
