Theya (YC) | Bitcoin is inevitable, "crypto" is not

Bitcoin was unfathomably the best performing macro asset of the last decade, outpacing even the giga tech stocks, including esteemed names like Tesla. The performance data from 2013-2023 underscores a compelling narrative: Bitcoin returns completely annihilated conventional investments like the S&P 500, real estate, and venture capital and is poised to continue its meteoric ascent through the 2020s.Not owning bitcoin in your portfolio is akin to attempting financial suicide, especially if you're young and have a longer investing time horizon. While I typically shy away from speculating on specific valuations, Bitcoin fundamentals suggests that a mere 10x price increase by 2030 seems ultra-bearish and decidedly conservative.

There is just no comparison! Even Bank of America - Merrill Lynch had to declare Bitcoin the best asset of the decade.

Yet most people still smirk at it. Beyond understanding. They just say 'I don't understand it' (yet unwilling to try), 'I'm too late' or, 'how do you know it will keep going up'...even after explaining Infinity / 21 million. My belief in humanity has almost collapsed. I think humans might be a slave race, programmed to not question the mass-media and public school narratives. Just have to find the tribe who can think on their own and call them family.

BTC to Buffett & Munger: Who's the "Rat Poison" Now?Bitcoin reached a major milestone this week by flipping financial giants Berkshire Hathaway (767 bn), Meta (816 bn), and Tesla (750 bn) in market cap, now ranking as the 7th most valuable traded asset globally with a market cap of ~$860 bn.This is an incredible feat given that Charlie Munger previously called BTC ‘rat poison’ while Warren Buffett labeled it ‘rat poison squared’." Yet now, BTC has leaped past Berkshire Hathaway despite some serious Billionaire dissing!Bitcoin's recent price surge has been largely attributed to rumors around the approval of BlackRocks spot BTC ETF and the next BTC halving event. With momentum on its side, the price surge could very well mark the end of the "crypto winter" and the start of the ‘Bull Market’.If the optimism plays out, the next asset on BTCs radar would be AI leader Nvidia at $1.15 trillion. For Bitcoin to become the world's most valuable asset, it needs to reach a price of $153,000 to dethrone Apple's mammoth $3 trillion market cap. PS - $100k Bitcoin - coming 2024 to an exchange near you!#BTC #100k

💰📈 Bitcoin vs. Mega Stocks: A Tale of Investment Risk 🚀💎When it comes to investment, it's easy to hear that Bitcoin is too risky. But before you jump to conclusions, let's take a closer look at some familiar names: Tesla and NVIDIA. 🚗🎮If we examine the monthly return profiles of these three assets since 2016, you might be surprised to find that they aren't all that different in terms of volatility and returns. 📊Sure, they may not offer the same stability as Apple or Berkshire Hathaway, but the point is this: Bitcoin isn't the lone ranger in the realm of volatility and return distribution. 🌍💥In the ever-evolving world of finance, all investments come with their own set of risks and rewards. It's important to have a diversified portfolio and make informed decisions. So, next time someone questions the wisdom of investing in Bitcoin, remind them that even established giants like Tesla and NVIDIA have had their share of market turbulence. Knowledge and research are the keys to successful investing. 📚💡#Bitcoin #Investment #RiskManagement #Tesla #NVIDIA #Finance #Diversify #MarketVolatility #InvestingWisdom

Ever noticed a seismic shift in the finance world? That's right, we're talking Bitcoin ETFs! These aren't your average Exchange-Traded Funds. Bitcoin ETFs are charging through, drawing eyes from both the general public and Wall Street bigwigs. Giants like Grayscale and BlackRock are gamifying the crypto investment scene. Now, let's break this down. Traditional ETFs? They're a mixed bag of assets traded on stock exchanges, offering diversification, lower costs, and heaps of flexibility. On the other hand, Bitcoin ETFs are specialists. They solely track Bitcoin values, simplifying investors' journey into the crypto realm, minus the headache of direct buying and storing. I am curious if you have seen anything about Bitcoin ETFs come across your feed (Linkedin or otherwise). Do you love or hate them or maybe you just don't care? In my thirst for new knowledge, I am curious to hear your thoughts below!

As Bitcoin's momentum wavers, the crypto world is abuzz with the recent influx of U.S. exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The entry of giants like BlackRock Inc. and Fidelity Investments into the Bitcoin ETF arena marked a historic debut, but Bitcoin's price tells a different story. After peaking above $49,000, the largest digital asset is now showing signs of retreat, hinting at the classic "buy-the-rumor, sell-the-fact" market reaction.Investor sentiment is mixed. While some view these ETFs as a gateway to increased Bitcoin accessibility, others recall the 2022 crypto crash with caution. Amidst this, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust's transformation into an ETF and subsequent outflows suggest shifting investor strategies. As the industry navigates these changes, will these new funds stabilize the market, or are we witnessing the start of another speculative cycle?

Bitcoin Outlook 20242024 looks to be an exciting year for crypto! The last few months have brought back many non-crypto believers after the last bull runs conclusion. Here is one of my possible scenarios that I am looking at moving forward. The SEC finally approved many Bitcoin ETF’s this past week or two, leading to yearly highs. However, this could definitely mean the yearly top is in. From a technical point of view Bitcoin hit a strong retracement value and swept a big liquidity level. If the bearish scenario plays out, I expect one more move to the upside to the 44-46k level before further downside. Now why does this make sense to me? With insitutional investing now possible, large companies may start selling in order to have one more accumulation one BTC price is lower. Simple put, you don’t see big companies like Blackrock buying the top. Regardless, I am super excited to see what the future holds for the space, as this is only the beginning!

Bitcoin Brings $40,000 Into View After More Than Doubling in a Chaotic Year- Largest digital asset has partially rebounded from 2022’s rout- Question is how much impetus left as token churns at $38,000Bitcoin’s chances of hitting $40,000 are top of mind for crypto speculators as they head into the final stretch of a year during which the largest digital asset more than doubled in price. The token has rebounded about 130% over the past 11 months from 2022’s crypto rout, outstripping investments like stocks or gold. Hopes for Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts next year, and expectations that the US will allow its first spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, together created a potent elixir.MicroStrategy Inc., the largest publicly-traded corporate holder of Bitcoin, last month bought $593 million more of the token, taking its pile to roughly $6.5 billion. Michael Novogratz, founder of Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd., on Wednesday said Bitcoin a year from now may reach its 2021 peak of almost $69,000.#digitalassets #fundraising #investing Supercap Group MicroStrategy

Imagine waking up in a world where every tick of Bitcoin's value dictates the financial health of major corporations. Welcome to the reality for those playing with fire through leveraged Bitcoin buys. 📉🔥MicroStrategy has been making headlines, not just for their bullish stance on Bitcoin but for their high-stakes game using leveraged buys. It's like watching a high-wire act without a safety net. JP Morgan's recent warning adds a gust of wind to this already precarious balance, suggesting that introducing more leverage into Bitcoin markets is akin to setting the stage for a dramatic fall.Leverage can be a double-edged sword. On one side, it magnifies gains, painting dreams of exponential wealth growth. On the flip side, it amplifies losses, turning what could be a minor market correction into a potential nightmare scenario of 'severe deleveraging.'Let's not forget, markets are unpredictable. They're like the weather in April – sunny one moment and stormy the next. Introducing more leverage is akin to adding fuel to an already raging fire. Should the market take a downturn, those who are over-leveraged may find themselves in a race against time and liquidity. But here's where it gets interesting: despite the risks, this strategy highlights an unwavering belief in the long-term value of cryptocurrencies by some players. It's bold, it's risky, and it certainly grabs headlines. This brings us to our pivotal question: Is leveraging on cryptocurrencies an act of visionary investment or an oversized gamble with potentially dire consequences? 🤔#Cryptocurrency #Bitcoin #InvestmentStrategies #Market #Leverage
