Dell will be heating up Atlanta next week at Microsoft Ignite at the Georgia World Conference Center, September 26 – 30. No doubt Microsoft’s annual conference will have lots of exciting announcements in the enterprise sphere. We are excited to share with attendees all of the great things Dell and Microsoft are doing together to help our joint customers improve their IT environments in support of their ultimate business goals.

As a Diamond sponsor, Dell will have a substantial presence at Ignite. We will announce several new solutions, and, as a newly combined company, Dell will have many product demos to try out. Our Dell booth (#801) will include a theater with short presentations held throughout the day (full schedule below). In addition, Dell spokespeople will hold speaking sessions throughout the conference. Read on to find out more information on these sessions and the other events Dell will attend.

Does your technology support a modern workforce? Are employees satisfied with the devices they have? Are you secure? Kelli Hodges will address these key questions when organizations start to shift towards activity-based work, where employees conduct business in flexible environments across varying devices. We know there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to these ever-changing workplaces; every organization will need to rethink how people collaborate and preserve productivity. Dell Client Solutions has a differentiated approach that starts with a solid foundation of activity-based solutions that address top IT concerns paired with device design desired by your employees. Learn how Dell can help you build a happier and more productive workforce.

Windows 10 and Dell VDI: A Match Made in Heaven – Learn Why You Don’t Need VDA and Save $50/year per device

Tuesday, September 27 from 12:05 – 12:25pm ET in Theater 1 on the Expo Floor

Andre Beuchat will explain how Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) can help bolster security, ease desktop management, and enable mobility by keeping key apps and content within the secure data center while users access their specific apps and desktops from their devices of choice. While these benefits may seem obvious, actually implementing VDI in a timely and cost-effective manner has historically been anything but easy, both financially and operationally. Until now. Dell and Microsoft are advancing VDI to new levels of affordability and simplicity by making it even easier to offer to more users than ever with a range of new solutions and products designed to extend the secure, productive user experience to more people, in more locations, and from more devices.

Deliver ‘Everything Built-In’ – Building the Optimal Platform for Success

John Hettenhaus from Dell will discuss the best solution for your enterprise workloads with Dell’s platform for SQL Server 2016 that offers real time insights with a secure, scalable database platform, from advanced analytics to unparalleled in-memory performance and industry leading OLTP workloads. Dell redefines database and analytics platforms for mission critical compute, storage and networking by combining the best efficiencies of x86 compute platform with flash storage and high performance networking. In this session, attendees will learn how Dell solves for consolidation and scale-up to migrate from earlier versions of SQL Server, lowering TCO with dense platforms, small datacenter footprints and efficient system management as well as high performance analytics using Dell PowerEdge Servers and a Dell all-flash storage backend.

Additionally, please join us at the Dell and Intel sponsored event on Wednesday, September 28 from 6-9pm ET at the College Football Hall of Fame, which is just a short walk (10 minutes) from the convention center. All Dell customers and attendees are invited; however, you must stop by the Dell booth to obtain a ticket as there is limited space at the event. Former pro football players Billy Sims and Danny Wuerffel will be there signing autographs and taking photos. This is sure to be a fun event with lawn games, food and drinks and a live DJ.

Don’t forget to share your experience on social media by using the hashtags #Dell and #MSIgnite. If you can’t make it this year, don’t worry, you can livestream the event here.

As you know, Fall is conference season, and our annual conference, Dell World 2016 is in Austin, TX October 18-20. If you’re feeling lucky, you can register to win a Dell World VIP access pass for you and a guest. We hope to see you there!
