When it comes to the Warzone 2 meta, nearly everyone in the game is using the Cronen Squall Battle Rifle for its lethal TTK and raw firepower.
According to WZRanked, the gun has an unbelievably high 21.4% pick rate, putting it at number one in the overall popularity rankings. While the Cronen Squall is a solid choice, there are other slept-on weapons that have the same long-range TTK but are significantly easier to use.

Breaking down the stats, WhosImmortal decided to compare the 556 Icarus's TTK with a bunch of other meta weapons, including the Cronen Squall, ISO Hemlock, and Lachmann 556.
Out of all the guns, the underrated LMG has the fastest TTK at close-quarters, stays competitive at mid-range, and then has joint highest time to kill at long-range with the Cronen.
Although it doesn't beat out the popular battle rifle, the Icarus is significantly easier to control, meaning it's an overall better choice when firing on opponents from a distance.
While you will have to sacrifice some mobility as the Icarus is an LMG, it's well worth the price and with the Cronen expected to get nerfed in Season 4, the Icarus could secure a top place in the meta when the update arrives.

The 556 Icarus has a remarkably low pick rate of just 0.2% in Warzone 2, putting it at thirty-ninth in the overall rankings.
This means the weapon is unbelievably underrated to the point where barely any of the community is even considering it. So, stay a step ahead of the competition and add this to your loadout list, you certainly won't regret it.
