Jumping at the Right Time

Select an area that is close to your desired landing spot. It should be level on the ground, and somewhere from which you can glide onto your preferred spot.
Your parachute will open automatically once you’re a certain distance from the ground. You want your parachute to open as low down as possible. Aiming for a level spot on the ground will ensure this.
With a flat spot picked out, jump from the bus.
Immediately head into a hard dive. Go straight down, picking up as much speed as possible until your parachute opens.
With your parachute open, glide over to your location.
Be sure to plan ahead and dive-bomb an area that’s close by, so you can glide into your chosen location. What’s important if you want a fast landing is that you avoid any hills, mounds, or elevated terrain. This will cause your parachute to deploy much earlier than you’d like.
You want to aim for patches of land that are at as low an altitude as possible.
The plan here is to deploy your parachute, so you’re initially close to the ground and then glide towards your targeting place. Don’t just float slowly downwards over your target.
You’ll get better at judging how far away you need to jump out of the Battle Bus to get to various locations around the map. Keep practicing, and you’ll get the hang of it.
You can descend quicker by moving left and right with your glider. This works when you’re right above the spot you want to land on.
Once your glider is activated, look straight down and press your forward button while gliding. This will push your glider forward to make you land faster.
Gliding to the edge of the map or very low ground will make you land faster! This is very effective in challenging game modes such as Solo and Duo.
