What is the master code for the Hollon safe? ›

TO OPEN THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME:

Enter preset factory code of *1234#. 2. Keypad should react with blue lights and chimes for a successful code entry. If red lights flash on keypad then an incorrect code was entered.

Replace the battery and it should work. If your safe is beeping once every few seconds, then your safe is most likely in lock out mode. If the code is entered incorrectly too many times, then the lock out mode will commence. The keypad will be non-responsive for 5-15 minutes depending on the model.

(ALWAYS PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE WITH THE DOOR OPEN)

1: Press the button on the interior side of the door. 2: Enter a new code 1-8 digits long. 3: Press the # button to end the sequence. (* button is not used in this procedure) 4: Try your new code 3 times before closing the door.

Depository safes allow multiple individuals to add items through a slot and approved individuals to remove the items through a locked door. Generally, they are used as short-term storage for cash, small valuables, and important documents.

Reputable safe manufacturers typically have a master code for each of the locks on safes that they've sold. So you call in, go through the process of validating your identity, and you can get the master code to your individual lock.

If you have a keyed safe, the first thing to do is to check if the key is bent or damaged. If so, it is recommended that you contact a professional locksmith to repair or replace the key. If the key is not the problem, it is possible that the lock is jammed or defective.

Dead or Low Battery

The nine-volt battery in your safe lock should normally last 12 to 18 months. But if you frequently open your safe, the battery might not last as long. If the battery is running low, your lock could still have enough power to light up its display key pad and make its normal tones.

The five “beeps” indicate a low battery. Click on BATTERY INSTALLATION and select your electronic lock, following the instructions. We highly recommend the use of only a 9-volt ALKALINE ENERGIZER® or DURACELL® battery. They've been strenuously tested and proven to last longer during safe lock operation.

Your safe's owners manual should provide instructions on how to change your dial lock's combination. While you can change the combo on a mechanical lock, it can be tricky if you haven't done it before and know what you're doing.
