It is expected to grow to 195.45 million by the end of the year. While it was impressive that it took the Walt Disney Company less than two years to get more than 100 million users for Disney Plus, they have seen some decline in subscribers in 2023.
Disney+ had 164.2 million subscribers worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2022, which was their highest subscriber since its launch in 2019.

In Q1 2024, Disney Plus had 149.6 million subscribers worldwide, 600 thousand less than the previous quarter, or a 0.4% decline in subscribers. It seems the drop can be attributed to the limited availability of Indian Premier League cricket matches on Disney Plus Hotstar, its Indian brand.
Despite a decline in the number of Disney Plus subscribers, it still has around 50 million more global subscribers than its closest competitor, HBO Max.
