The Chimera is a large and aggressive boss. It will constantly try to attack you with its claws and will shoot projectiles out of its mouth and tail. It will also summon Thundara magic to push you away. It also has an attack where it uses everything at once, sending out projectiles on both ends and casting Thundara.
Despite how aggressive the boss is, the best strategy to fight it is actually to stay close to it. Most of its projectiles won't reach you if you're too close to it, including its all-out attack. It will use Thundara to push you away. Simply dodge away to avoid and move back to attack it. The Chimera can also send lightning bolts at you, so be on the lookout for that.
You can Soul Shield several of his projectiles, but it's honestly better just avoid them altogether with well-timed dodges. Like most enemies, the back, and the sides of the Chimera are its weak spots. Keep hitting him there to land more critical hits and take down his Break Gauge.
The Chimera will also have rush attacks that will not only hurt you but also move further away from you. You will then have to chase it.
Once you deplete its health halfway and do a Soul Burst on it, the Chimera will lose its wings and become even angrier. In place of wings, two large serpents with sprout from its back.
The Chimera will now constantly use multiple of its projectiles at once to keep you at bay, while at the same time continuing moving throughout the room.
The same strategy from the first part of the boss fight should still work. Avoid all its projectiles and get close to it. By being close to it, you should still be able to avoid most of its projectiles. However, the Chimera will constantly be on the move, so you have to keep following it to avoid getting caught by its projectiles.
Sooner or later, the Chimera will go down. It's a pretty straightforward boss with no major gimmick other than its ability to send our projectiles in all directions.
