Inmates are 'classified' upon arrival at the jail facility and on a regular basis while incarcerated. The classification level of the inmate will determine how many privileges he/she will receive, including visits, commissary and out of cell recreation. Classification is based on factors to include behavior, current and past charges, criminal history, and medical and mental health issues. Inmates have the opportunity to gain privileges by improving their behavior and conduct. Inmate classifications and visits are as follows:

High Maximum Security: Inmates get NO VISITS.
High Security: Inmates get one free visit per week.
Medium and Minimum Security: Inmates get two free visits per week.

It is the responsibility of the inmate to inform family and friends of their classification and status.

Additional Visits: Inmates are able to receive additional visits for a fee set by Telmate, the visitation vendor. If the inmate is housed in a selected area of the jail, inmates can receive remote video visits, similar to 'Skype', through a monitor in their cell area, also at a fee determined by Telmate. See "online via Telmate (fee-based)" below for further information on using remote or 'Skype' visitation.
