Children under three years of age are considered "guests of Mickey." So, as long as your tiny Mouseketeer is still two on the first day he enters the parks, he doesn't need a ticket for the length of your stay. This includes tickets for after-park hours events, such as the upcoming Disneyland After Dark event. Many families will schedule an extra special third birthday trip for their toddlers just for this reason.

Here are some of my favorite tips for traveling with toddlers:
*Pick up a complimentary Birthday Button inside at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park.
*Schedule a character meal to celebrate your big boy turning three! The Plaza Inn has the Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, which would be perfect! And don't forget to count your little ones when making your Disneyland dining reservations.
*Make use of the Rider Switch service, which lets parents switch off caring for a little one and riding attractions with height restrictions. The second adult/parent and older children do not have to wait in line again!
*Visit the Baby Care Center in each park. There are changing tables, private rooms with rocking chairs for nursing, high chairs, bottle warmers, and a microwave. They are indeed a welcome respite away from the hustle and bustle of the park!
*When in Disney Califonia Adventure Park, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is a magical area for little ones to run off some steam. My kiddos love this area of the park and could spend hours here!
