Parent reviews for Two Can Keep a Secret (2024)

January 9, 2023

Not very unique, but still Ok for kids aged 9-14. Around 12 years is perfect due to language and some scares.

Parents should know that this teen murder mystery isn’t really unique in a way, but it’s still fun, enjoyable, and has a great ending. There’s some violence that isn’t very strong/or terrifying. There’s a bloody dead body (with not too gory details), a gun pointed at someone, bullying and texts from strangers. Characters use profanity in some conversations, and sometimes kiss. They are also referred to make out, and there’s same sex and opposite sex relationships (all fine for kids - content is kept minimal.) There’s reference to YouTube, and Skype but there’s not much reference to what’s into the app. Characters sometimes drink, but don’t get drunk.

This title has:

Great messages

Great role models

Too much swearing
