Sasuke Uchiha vs Roronoa Zoro (2024)

Intro[]

Mortician: Sorry it's been too long guys, Redshock accidentally destroyed our studio so we have to do it via Zoom chat until we start out next season.

Redshock: How was I suppose to know you can't cook pizza with electricity?!.

Mortician: Anyway for our first season finale we decided to do something special, in any typical Anime, you have the Golden Trio, a cool or bumbling OP protagonist, the useless chick rival or love interest, and a third member.

Redshock: Whose usually the cool silent guy who's good with a sword

Mortician: Like Sasuke Uchiha, the Last Uchiha of Naruto.

Redshock: And Roronoa Zoro, the Sword Slashing Swashbuckler of the Strawhat Pirates from One Piece

Sasuke Uchiha[]

Mortician: In the world of Naruto, the Hidden Leaf Village was founded by the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju and the Senju Clan, but they worked closely with their former enemies turned allies, the Uchiha Clan.

Redshock: The Uchiha’s were a proud and powerful family, producing powerful shinobi like Madara, Shisui, and Itachi, all with their own great accomplishments and skills.

Mortician: But sadly the clan was nearly extinct as the pride of the Uchiha’s, Itachi killed his own Clan and Family in cold blood nearly killing his entire bloodline all except for one, his little brother Sasuke Uchiha.

Redshock: Sasuke originally believing that his older brother Itachi murdered their family and made it his life’s mission to become strong enough to kill his brother and join Team 7 along with his teammates Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and his Sensei Kakashi Hatake.

Mortician: As time went on, Sasuke felt he was wasting his time with his friends and felt they were holding him back from his mission to kill his brother and making him weak and wanted more power. So he defected from the Leaf and sought out help from former Akatsuki and ⅓ of the Legendary Sannin member, Orochimaru.

Redshock: He later proves instrumental in ending the Fourth Great Shinobi War , though he saw becoming an enemy to the current world to be an ideal way for peace. However, after losing to Naruto Uzumaki for the final time, a battle which cost him his left arm and a new sense of clarity.

Mortician: Sasuke renounced his intent and became a wandering ninja to protect the world his friend sought to protect from the shadows, just as his late brother protected the Leaf from the shadows.

Redshock: Sasuke is a master Shinobi, he has access to all Chakra Natures like Water, Lightning, Fire, Wind, Earth, Yin and Yang Release. But he tends to use Lightning and Fire Ninjutsu when fighting.

Mortician: He is also a skilled Swordsman capable of going up against the Samurai leader Mifune, the 8 Tailed Jinchuriki Killer Bee, and even Kinshiki Otsutsuki with just one arm.

Redshock: Sasuke’s sword is no normal sword, it is the Sword of Kusanagi, Sasuke could expand on his sword's might by channeling his Lightning Chakra into the blade with Chakra Flow, which would increase its sharpness greatly through high-frequency vibrations, as well as increasing its cutting range capable of cutting through anything.

Mortician: But Sasuke’s main skill is his Ninjutsu, he has mastered all Chakra Natures and several Jutsu, like his Uchiha inherit Fireball Jutsu capable of shooting out a large fireball from his mouth, and his signature Chidori which was taught by his Sensei which became a vital component of Sasuke’s arsenal.

Redshock: Sasuke is also no slouch when it comes to hand to hand, he is a master in Taijutsu, the Shinobi Martial Arts, Sasuke was at a very high level when he was a Genin. combined with his speed and reflexes Sasuke is a great fighter capable of throwing hands with Rock Lee, Naruto, and several Ōtsutsuki's.

Mortician: Sasuke is also skilled with Ninja Tools or Bukijutsu such as kunai and shuriken, showing tremendous aim while still in the academy. Tactics-wise, he can use techniques like hiding a second shuriken in the shadow of the first and control the path of them using wire strings.

Redshock: Sasuke is also one of the rare individuals to have a dual summoning contract with two species: snakes and hawks. He can summon various-sized snakes to aid him in battle, even hidden from his sleeves to strike or bind his opponents with little time to react. He was also able to summon snakes from any part of his body. He can also summons Aoda, a giant snake to aid him in his fight to quickly carry him through the terrain. With his Hawks, Sasuke can fly about and outmaneuver his opponent's attacks.

Mortician: Sasuke is one of select members of the Uchiha clan to possess its famous kekkei genkai, the Sharingan. Sasuke first awakened his Sharingan at age 7, with one Tomoe in each eye, after seeing Itachi murder their clan.

Redshock: The Sharingan is one of 3 Dojutsu in the world of Naruto, the Sharingan grants Sasuke multiple enhanced visual powers. It grants Sasuke immense clarity, able to observe and differentiate the flow of chakra, plus perceive everything within his sight and from that able to accurately predict a target's movements. It also allows Sasuke to perfectly mimic a person's movements and even copy their techniques into his own arsenal, provided he is physically able to.

Mortician: The Sharingan can also can also cast powerful Genjutsu through eye-contact. Sasuke has demonstrated formidable Dōjutsu illusions, able to easily hypnotize his adversaries to restrict movements, relaying recorded memories, applying deceptive imagery, and inducing hallucinations. But that's not even the full power of the Sharingan, Sasuke would unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Redshock: If Sasuke uses his Mangekyō Sharingan too much, it can deteriorate his vision after each use and can be extremely fatal. Despite the danger of regular use, Sasuke has not hesitated to test his limits with the power it affords. The Mangekyō Sharingan is basically a Sharingan Upgrade, he is able to cast the unquenchable black flames of Amaterasu, which ignites at the focal point of his sight. With his right Mangekyō, Sasuke is able to cast Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi to extinguish and manipulate the flames at will

Mortician: After awakening the powers of both Mangekyō Sharingan, Sasuke became one of the few Uchiha capable of invoking Susanoo; the materialisation of an immense humanoid construct of chakra. His extreme emotions have been the root of its development. While initially relying upon different partial manifestations, Sasuke was soon able to complete his Susanoo's body. It can produce a Susanoo Sword, Susanoo Bow that doubles as a shield, and an orb of chakra that conjures the arrows.

Redshock: You think Sasuke can't get anymore powerful, well your wrong, after receiving half of the Sage of the Six Paths' chakra, Sasuke awakened the Rinnegan in his left eye. With it, Sasuke is also able to see otherwise invisible targets, and moreover, has gained the ability to teleport himself and anyone near him as well as inanimate objects within a limited range. Despite his left eye being a Rinnegan, he still retains all of his Sharingan and Mangekyou Sharingan powers.

Mortician: What makes Sasuke so dangerous besides his Chakra Reserves and Power-Ups is his Intellect. From a young age, Sasuke has repeatedly shown keen instincts and quick decision-making skills, causing many to consider him a genius. Able to easily learn various advanced techniques or utilise basic ones for crafty manoeuvres, Sasuke already became a stand-out before graduating the Academy. He is a proficient strategist and tactician, observing his opponent's skills and deducing their workings with ease and accuracy whilst remaining calm and composed.

Redshock: Sasuke has some of the best feats in Naruto, even Naruto himself probably, he once defeated 1,000 Shinobi by himself, help defeated the Goddess Kaguya, held his own against the Fourth Raikage, Killer Bee, Danzo, and even Naruto.

Mortician: But Sasuke isn't as perfect as Sakura calls him, he does not have infinite stamina while he does have large Chakra Reserves he can still run out of Chakra. If he uses overpowered moves like his Susanoo it can heavily deplete his Chakra and can drain his life-force becoming nearly fatal if used too much.

Redshock: But all that said, while the show is called Naruto, Sasuke is arguably the strongest Ninja the Leaf maybe even the World of Naruto has ever produced and you don't want to make him angry.

Sasuke: "My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain somebody".

Roronora Zoro[]

Redshock: At a young age, Roronoa Zoro was just a kid growing up in a small village, but in the world of Anime you can’t just be average. So young Zoro studied Swordsmanship in his local dojo and turned out to be a prodigy, he could defeat most adults in sword duels before he was 10.

Mortician: But the one person he could not beat was his master’s daughter, Kuina and lost to her 2000 times, but Zoro would not give up, all he wanted to be was the greatest swordsman of all time, which was Kuina’s dream too but due to her father’s view on women swordsman, it couldn’t happen.

Redshock: But that didn’t stop Zoro telling her that one day he would beat her because he was more skilled, not because she was a girl. The two made a promise that either of them had to become the world's best swordsman.

Mortician: But it didn’t work out in Kuina’s favor, Kuina sadly died after falling down the stairs of they’re dojo. REALLY?!, STAIRS?!.

Redshock: Anyway, losing his friend and rival, Zoro realized that she would never have a chance to fulfill her dream, Zoro took it upon himself, asking his master for her sword, Wado Ichimonji, and began working to develop his signature Three Sword Style, holding his own two swords in each hand, and Kuina's clenched between his teeth.

Mortician: After trying to track down a known swordsman, he got lost and to survive on his own, Zoro became a bounty hunter, and created a reputation for himself as the Pirate Hunter, which would get the attention of a young pirate named Luffy who wanted Zoro to join his Pirate Crew

Redshock: But Zoro refused, and Luffy wouldn’t take no for an answer, so Zoro joined the Strawhat Pirates and used his sword skills in helping his newfound friends and family.

Mortician: Zoro is an extremely powerful and talented swordsman, and was established as such even before his training under the legendary Dracule Mihawk. After fighting Daz Bones, he is powerful enough to cut steel and iron and can reduce massive ships and buildings to shreds with ease.

Redshock: Zoro would use several methods of sword fighting like: Santoryu, which is Zoro's both preferred and iconic method, the "Three-Sword-Style." as it’s called is when he holds his two swords in both hands and the third sword in his mouth. He can also do Nitoryu, Two Sword Style, and Ittoryu, One Sword Style.

Mortician: And can even use Mutoryu aka No Sword Style, Zoro invented this style and instead used his arms to deliver strikes more blunt, and less fatal.

Redshock: But his most impressive form is the Kyutoryu or Nine-Sword-Style, which Zoro grows two more heads and four more arms for a total of nine swords.

Mortician: Zoro is also a user of Haki, Haki is is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own spiritual energy for various purposes. For Zoro he uses Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki.

Redshock: Busoshoku Haki allows Zoro to augment his body with his own spiritual energy, greatly increasing his power and resilience. Because of this, this form of Haki is the most used in combat. It allows Zoro to hurt Devil Fruit users and can create an Invisible Armor around himself to defend against attacks that would otherwise cause Zoro harm.

Mortician: With Kenbunshoku Haki, gives Zoro a "Sixth Sense", with it Zoro can sense the presence of others, can predict a person's intent, which helps him in battle to dodge and predict his opponents next attack. He also adopted a Third Haki: Hadshoku Haki. without even knowing he had it

Redshock: Meaning Conquerers Haki, it allows Zoro to exert his own willpower over others. This type of Haki cannot be attained through training and only one in several million people are born with this ability people like Luffy, Shanks, and Boa Hanco*ck. It is said that whoever possess this Haki are known to be Supreme Rulers and dangerous threats. With it Zoro can make weak willed opponents faint just be looking at him.

Mortician: Without his Swords and Haki, Zoro is a strong person, like really strong, he was strong enough to pick up a small building and throw it at his opponent.

Redshock: He's also really fast too, Zoro is capable of keeping up with super speed users such as Sanji, and can deflect punches from giants capable of pulling continents.

Mortician: Zoro is also really durable, and proved to be on the strongest people in the whole series of One Piece. He has survived a slash through the chest from Mihawk, numerous impalement, lightning attacks above 10 000 volts, a kick from the giant Oars, and the Ursa Shock from the Pacifista Kuma, all of which he continued to fight after receiving.

Redshock: But his most impressive feat is when after his Captain Luffy's battle with Oars and the warlord Moria, Zoro absorbed all of his pain and fatigue into his own body, along with the injuries he himself had sustained during the fight and Zoro almost died but still kept kicking or more like slashing.

Mortician: But Zoro isn't all that, his swords aren't really durable they can be broken to certain Devil Fruit powers; like magnetism and rust. Being a very offensive Sword Master, he lacks defense and loses to people who have strong defense capabilities like Kuma. Has never defeated a Major Villain which really shows how much Zoro can give as Luffy usually fights the big bads.

Redshock: But his major downfall is that he is just plain dumb, he has no sense of direction and makes it easy for him to be ambushed, has a habit of rushing at his opponents without planning or strategizing, and would even tank attacks instead of dodging them.

Mortician: But all that said, if you are ever wondering the seas looking for the One Piece Treasure, be careful when you see a ship with a straw hat cause once their swordsman sees you, it's over.

Zoro: "When the world shoves you around, you just gotta stand up and shove back. It's not like somebody's gonna save you if you start babbling excuses."

Death Battle[]

Prologue[]

While Sasuke is walking through a road through a dense forest leading into Konoha, he hears some strange noises nearby, he follows them and jumps on a tree limb to see what's happening. He sees a green bandana wearing swordsman fighting several ANBU Ninja who Sasuke recognized was from the Hidden Leaf. Zoro quickly finished the few ANBU with ease, Sasuke knowing that Naruto probably sent them to find the sword welder. Sasuke jumps down from the tree limb and stands a few yards away from Zoro. Sasuke pulls out his Bingo Book and sees Roronora Zoro: 320,000,000 Ryo, Zoro pulls out a Bounty Scroll and shows a sketched face of Sasuke for 500,000,000 Belly. Zoro says "huh, your worth more than me, don't see how a one armed man can be higher than me". Sasuke chuckled and said "Trust me, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, if you ever read a book". Zoro sneered and drew his three swords one on each hand and the third in his mouth. Sasuke says "Let's Dual whoever wins claims the other's bounty deal?", Zoro tried to talk with his sword in his mouth "Deal!, this dual will be the battle for the ages!".

FIGHT![]

Sasuke quickly ran toward's Zoro first as Zoro did the same, the two clashed sword's, Zoro tried to cut Sasuke's throat but he misses by a few inches, Sasuke breaks off and jumps in the air and through several Shurikens down below Zoro. Zoro pointed his two swords into an X and blocked all of Sasuke's Shrunken. Sasuke landed back to the ground and said "Fire Release: Phoenix...", as Sasuke was about to release a a wave of fire at Zoro, he put both hands forward that resembled bull horns. “Santoryu - Three Sword Style! Ushi Bari!”. and charged towards Sasuke.

Zoro swung his swords in great speed and power only Sasuke was fast enough to dodge and block his hits with his own sword, Sasuke then summoned the black flames of Amaterasu created a divider between him and zero of black flames on the battleground. Zoro was stunned and couldn't see Sasuke, then Sasuke appeared a few feet behind him and through another flurry of Shurikens. But Zoro quickly turned and smacked them with his blades before they could touch him.

Sasuke moved the flames toward's Zoro but Zoro moved out of the way and jumped infront of Sasuke stabbing him through the chest with both blades, Sasuke coughed up a little blood as Zoro said "I win!", "No", Sasuke said. And Sasuke used Amenotejikara and switched places with him and Zoro with the swords out of Sasuke's body and dropped on the ground, he kicked Zoro in the chest and did a spinning axe kick to the top of Zoro's head. As Zoro backed away Sasuke said "Phoenix Sage Fire.” Sasuke began, as he used his Chakra to generate a volley of small fireballs that he was able to control, as they were all flying towards Zoro in incredibly unpredictable ways, Zoro managed to dodge and roll out of the way until the fireballs were gone.

Zoro then got up and pulled out three more swords, Sasuke began to speed towards Zoro only Zoro was ready for him, he yelled "Rengoku Oni Giri!", after Zoro finished his move he released Sasuke blocked his swords with his own, the two swordsmen started hacking and slashing towards each other with great power and speed that the naked eye couldn't predict with sparks flying and the sounds of CLANG! SWISH! CLANG! echoed the empty beach. Sasuke managed to knock one of the sword's out of Zoro's hand and sliced his chest and kicked in the side of the head causing Zoro to step back.

But Zoro wasn't done yet, he too his ground with two swords in his hands, Sasuke then used the Great Fireball Jutsu, Zoro ran into the dense Forest with Sasuke following behind him.

The two ran across the tree limbs jumping and Zoro dodging Sasuke's Shuriken and Kunai attacks, then Zoro landed in the middle of the Forest in an empty dirt field with trees surrounding them, Sasuke then through 3 more Kunai but they landed near Zoro's feet, Zoro laughed and mistaken Sasuke's attack only he through them where he wanted them, each Kauai had an Explosive Tag and exploded seconds after they landed. Zoro was pushed against a large tree with scorch marks over his face and chest. Sasuke then used another Great Fireball and Zoro would yell “Yakkodori!” and used his sword in making a crescent shaped blast of air from his sword once he swung, redirecting the Fireball towards Sasuke.

Sasuke then dodge out of the way of his own Fireball, but he didn't realized how fast Zoro caught up to him and Zoro slashed Sasuke's chest with a vertical slash. Sasuke shrieked in pain as Zoro's sword cut across his chest as Sasuke landed on the ground on his knees. More blood and caked Sasuke's gray and purple shirt, Zoro walked in front of Sasuke and was ready to execute him. But Sasuke looked at Zoro and used Amenotejikara again and switched places and stabbed Zoro in the chest. But Zoro wasn't dead, Sasuke was getting aggravated and Zoro pushed the sword out of his chest and punched Sasuke in the stomach sending him a couple dozen yards away.

Zoro yelled "ITS NOT OVER TIL I SAY ITS OVER!!!". And Zoro pulled out 6 more swords grew two more heads and 6 more arms and yelled "KYUTORYU. NINE SWORD STYLE!!!". Sasuke channeled the remaining Chakra he had into Lighting chakra in his right hand, both swordsmen dashed toward's each other with Zoro's 9 blades and Sasuke's Chidori.

As the dust disappeared, Sasuke's hand was through Zoro's with Zoro reverting back to normal and dropped all of his sword's and went limp. Sasuke pulled out his hand and said "You were good fighter but not as good as me!" and lifted Zoro's body onto his shoulders and jumped into the tree leaving a pool of Zoro's blood and his swords in the forest.

Results[]

Redshock: OH MY f*ckING GOD THAT WAS THE BEST BATTLE I'VE EVER SEEN!!!

Mortician: I like to control my excitement but 100% THAT WAS AWESOME!

Redshock: Now you know how I feel, while Zoro was the better Swordsman and was physically stronger, everything else came to Sasuke.

Mortician: Due to Sasuke's Ninjutsu and Wide Variety of Jutsu he was able to keep the battle from a distance allowing Zoro not to get close to him and can hurt Zoro without using his sword.

Redshock: And Sasuke was better in Hand to Hand Combat thanks to his Ninja Training and Zoro hardly uses Hand to Hand Combat he usually gives that to Luffy or Sanji.

Mortician: Sasuke was also way faster, Zoro was fast enough to keep with the teleporting Former King of Sorbet Bartholomew Kuma. Based off the size of Zoro and Kuma in the Manga Zoro had to be moving .1575/.0000000131333333 = 11992385.8172m/s or .04x Speed of Light.

Redshock: While Sasuke's speed was almost on par with the Otsutsuki themselves, and his newly awakened Rinnegan's abilities allowed him to cross impossible distances within the blink of an eye. Similar to the Raikage's nerve stimulation, Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan allows him infinitely greater perception than most ninja. Even at top speed, he's acutely aware of his surroundings at all times and would never fall into a trap trying to take advantage of his speed.

Mortician: Sasuke was also smarter than Zoro, and Zoro doesn't strategize when he fights he just runs in head first and doesn't question his actions, while Sasuke he is the exact opposite, he'll take time and study his opponents movements and body language and find out their next move.

Redshock: If this was just a. regular Sword Fight Sasuke wouldn't stand a chance but with Sasuke's Wider Abilities, Higher Intelligence, and Superior Speed gave Sasuke the win, it looks like Zoro was SharinGone.

Mortician: I need this vacation from you, the winner is Sasuke Uchiha!

• Their strongest attacks/forms have deep roots to Asian mythology and deities (Zoro's "Asura" and many other attacks; Sasuke’s "Amaterasu" and "Susanoo")
• They gather groups of fangirls who simp over them
• Have rivalries with blonde martial artists due to somewhat conflicting ideals but who are still willing to fight together and make for a great combo if necessary (Sanji and Naruto).
