Stop the anime and read the manga. Anime has unbearable pacing from Fisherman island arc onwards It's like half a chapter per episode
The slow pacing has been around longer than that, but yeah; The climax in particular of Fishman Island is drawn out so badly, my girlfriend who hasn't read the manga was making comments about it. Like, how many times can you repeat the same sentence over and over with slightly different wording?
Not to mention they completely bombed the finisher.

I don't mind knowing the important things and skipping it. But yeah, a lot of episodes as of late have very very slow pacing and flash backs. those take up like half an episode. Is manga colored or black and white? Only time I read manga was for Dragon Ball years ago in middle school.

Recommend some anime, preferably completed series or in the least, series that feel like they ended well.

For most part the manga is black and white with the occasional color chapter

I actually decided I will read the manga version of it. It sounds like there might be some important stuff to know then what is mentioned.

I was gonna suggest reading it, too. The Fishman Arc doesn't have any amazing (or even really threatening) villains, which goes to why it's unliked -- it's much quicker to read through than watching the anime's drawn-out episodes. I definitely wouldn't suggest skipping any arc past there, though. They've all been pretty good, barring the pacing.

Fishman Arc was probably the worst arc in the entire series, and I disliked quite a few parts of the series like Thriller Bark. However, it's not good to skip canon arcs if you like a series. You should read it or watch it.

Thriller Bark was awesome. Cool shout out to one of the greatest pop albums ever. Gave us Perona, had Ussops best fight to date and the SHs vs Oars & Moria battle was appropriately massive. To top it off Kuma comes and injures Zoro for the remainder of pre-timeskip.

Top 5 one piece act imho. Though I wasn't the biggest fan of 'nightmare luffy' tbh. Kinda came off as a slight asspull.
My first book, Seven Sided Entente, is available for purchase at amazon! I'm not allowed to link it but go give it a read :)

Fishman island wasn't as bad as people claimed. I watched it and really enjoyed the flashback, one of the best flashback stories.

I would like to skip the Fishman arc as I heard its the worst
It's bad if you're reading it weekly. It's alright in a two-day marathon, and the post-arc stuff is pure One Piece tier One Piece. As mentioned, the Flashback was good too.
The part that's not great about FI is mostly the combat, which is a bit too one-sided.
