  1. See you back here for 'moving day'

An enthralling day at Oak Hill Country Club ends with three players tied for the lead at the 2023 US PGA Championship.

World number two Scottie Scheffler and world number 11 Viktor Hovland share top spot on the leaderboard with Canada's Corey Conners.

But there's a bunch of former major winners within a few shots of that trio - Brooks Koepka, Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry.

And it's worth noting that only 10 shots cover the field - with two rounds to come, it's still anybody's tournament.

Saturday's third round - 'moving day' as they call it - promises to be another intriguing instalment. Join us back here from 18:30 BST for more live text coverage.

  2. Read the report

So much has happened today - as it always will when there's 156 players involved.

From Justin Rose's marathon day, through PGA pro Michael Block's heroics and the three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard, the best place to catch up on it all is by reading Paul Higham's day two report.

  4. Notable names to miss the cut

+6 - Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler

+7 - Matt Kuchar, Francesco Molinari, Luke Donald

    +8 - Jason Day

    +11 - Danny Willett

    +12 - Robert MacIntyre

    +14 - Webb Simpson

A few names going home then - but the majority of the big guns are going to be sticking around for the weekend, and it's shaping up to be a cracker.

Quite a few top stars did take it to the limit though - the likes of Thomas Pieters, Tony Finau, Phil Mickelson, Tyrrell Hatton, Zach Johnson, Jordan Spieth and defending champion Justin Thomas among the players right on the edge at +5.

  5. DeChambeau gives up shot at 18

    DeChambeau -3 (71), Bradley E (71)

Bryson DeChambeau spits out his shot from the bunker and it flicks the flagpole on its way to 11-feet past.

Ah, he's flunked the putt as well and that's a frustrating drop shot at the last for the round-one leader.

It's been an excellent back nine but he'll be thinking about that one as he falls asleep tonight.

As for Keegan Bradley, it's a gruelling finish for him too with three bogeys in the final six holes meaning he ends up at even par.

  6. Post update

    DeChambeau -4, Bradley -1

Keegan Bradley has found Justin Thomas' bunker halfway down the 18th and he's played it cautiously, lobbing out to lay up for the green.

Bryson DeChambeau's drive was perfect but suddenly an error of judgement and his iron shot wrenches off to the right.

He's in a bunker of his own next to the green and has a tough task to get out of there with a par.

  7. Just got to keep going - Tarren

Callum Tarren told Sky Sports his second round was "pretty stress-free" after carding a three-under-par 67.

"I had just one little mistake on a tough hole but it's a great score on a tough golf course."

After missing nine of 10 cuts this season, he said: "I feel as though my golf has been pretty good for a couple of years now but just some off-course things that get in the way. It led me to miss quite a few cuts in a row, and I did that last season but obviously finished strong.

"I didn't press the panic button but I wasn't in a good place. I wasn't enjoying playing, especially I was getting too involved in trying to put good scores on the board instead of trying to play golf.

"I did a reset a few weeks ago, I feel good about my game and where my head is at and I have just got to keep going."

He was also shown a picture of his daughter... "She's just a little darling and that is one of the things I've struggled with, being a dad and being away so many weeks in a row and missing family life. I would like to manage my schedule to see her a lot more but it's tough with the changes the PGA Tour have made. It's making players play more."

  8. Post update

    DeChambeau -4 (17)

One last push for Bryson DeChambeau and he finds the 18th fairway with a searing drive.

Can he pick up a shot to join the leaders in the clubhouse?

  9. Post update

    DeChambeau -4, Bradley -1 (17)

A shot goes for Keegan Bradley on the par-four 17th and the 2013 champion is suddenly one over for his round.

Bryson DeChambeau knocks his putt to two feet and tidies up to ensure he'll head down the 18th with the score he began the day with.

That's no mean feat after being three over par for the round through six holes.

  10. My good ball striking is coming back - Hovland

    Hovland -5 (67)

Viktor Hovland is tied for the lead going into the weekend.

He told Sky Sports: "I was very happy with the day. I was hitting a few more fairways, not that I have done the maths, and gave myself a lot of good looks for birdies. I thought I made a few more putts today and a couple of nice par saves to keep the run going.

"I feel like my good ball striking is starting to come back. I had a little period where I was missing the ball both ways and it's hard to play like that. Now I feel I'm getting my fade back and the predictability is there.

"Now it's just about putting all the pieces together. I've played a lot of weekends, but I've had a lot of rough rounds over the weekends so it's about putting all four rounds together."

  11. Post update

    DeChambeau -4, Bradley -2 (16)

If you're going to shank it into the rough, you may as well leave it in an area that's had people tramping over it all day.

Bryson DeChambeau gets fortunate with his lie on 18 and is still able to attack the green with his second shot.

His playing partner Keegan Bradley also found trouble off the tee, out left, and he's had to lay up.

Shows there are still plenty of traps out there as the final few players close up.

  12. Post update

    DeChambeau -4 (16)

Oof that's clumped way right by Bryson DeChambeau on the par-four 17th.

He's chuntering to himself as he picks up his tee and tramps off into the severe rough out there.

  13. An Englishman (shining) in New York

    Tarren -2 (67)

Who backed Callum Tarren to be the leading Englishman at halfway?

The man from Darlington finishes with a tidy par on the ninth and wanders off to check his scorecard is correct.

A great opening couple of days and he bounds into the weekend just three off the lead.

  14. Fitzpatrick misses cut

    Fitzpatrick +6, C Smith +4 (F)

Matt Fitzpatrick is gone and he looks pretty devastated.

The Englishman was left with a nervy 10-12 footer to save par and make the cut but he steers it left - and his annoyed reaction tells all.

No major title this week to go with his US Open triumph last year.

Open champion Cameron Smith will remain at Oak Hill for the weekend, though.

  15. Rahm finishes with par

    Rahm +4 (F)

The world number one tidies up on the 18th to ensure he will be here for the weekend.

That looked in doubt midway through his round as, following Thursday's surprisingly poor 76, he seemed in danger of combustion.

But Jon Rahm regained his cool with some key birdies and he signs for a 68.

  16. Post update

    DeChambeau -4, Bradley -2 (16)

It's a three-way tie at the top and Bryson DeChambeau fancies a piece of it coming down the tricky three-hole stretch at the back end of Oak Hill East Course.

He sends in a composed putt from distance at the edge of the green and, not for the first time, it just doesn't have the legs.

That'll be a par for Bryson.

Also excellent judgement from Keegan Bradley who takes aim from 41 feet and narrowly misses the cup left.

  17. Smith surely safe

    Smith +4 (17)

Like Jon Rahm, last year's Open champion Cameron Smith is battling to make the cut.

Two-putting for par will keep him on +4 although he's a good 40 feet away.

Even a three-putt would be OK for the cut. He's safe as houses.

  18. To only be five back is a bonus - McIlroy

Rory McIlroy is relieved to come through round two under par and in contention.

"Considering how badly I feel I've played, to only be five off the lead going into the weekend is a bonus," he told Sky Sports.

"I wouldn't say everything came together but I held it together well. I rode my luck a bit at times but finished really strongly so it's nice to get in and under par."

Refreshingly, he confessed that even for a four-time major champion turning practice into reality is proving challenging.

"I rarely miss a shot on the range," he said, "but then on the course it goes everywhere.

    "it's a struggle and it's half-physical, half-mental at the moment.

"I just have to commit to what I'm doing."

  19. Canadian fans cheering me on feels good - Conners

    Conners -5 (68)

Corey Conners is bidding to become the first Canadian to win a major since Mike Weir won the Masters in 2003.

"Theconditions were tricky out there," he said. "I faced some wind, somerain. Ended up being reasonably nice the last few holes, but the game was solid. Felt like I made a bunch of key puttsto keep momentum going, and that was really the key tothe day.

"It's been a pretty special week so far. I think being so close to Canada there's a lot of Canadianfans out here. They're cheering me on. That definitelyfeels good."

  20. Rahm on track to make cut

    Rahm +4 (17)

Jon Rahm was unable to capitalise on a mid-range birdie chance on 17 but he finds the fairway on the final hole and will be at Oak Hill for the weekend barring any unexpected catastrophes from here.
