Is weapon focus worth it? ›

If your not a melee oriented combatant, don't worry about it. Use the best weapon available to the best of your ability as needed. If you are a melee oriented combatant, have a build in mind and stick to it. It's generally not worth spending a precious feat on Weapon Focus more than once for each character.

tl;dr yes you should pick 1 weapon type unfortunately but not necessairly just for weapon spec. The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic. Greater weapon focus + mythic and greater weapon spec + mythic are some of the major selling points of the fighter class.

You need +1 BAB for weapon focus. So if you're a class that doesn't have full BAB, you won't have it as an option at level 1.

Kukri is actually a pretty great choice. There are quite a few unique ones in the game. There's a potential knife master companion that specializes in kukris, but you can just ignore him if you're doing that build for your main character. There are a couple of nice starknives in the game but they are VERY late-game.

Usually the maximum skill rank is 20, but Legend can increase skills up to 40. Having a certain skill as your class skill adds +3 to it the moment you learn its first rank.

Yes but they're extremely cheesy as the AI isn't capable to counter you just sitting somewhere they can't get to while annihilating them through cover. Tech does have benefits, you can see an enemy through a wall and shot it, but my play style is built around the smart weapons.
