Two days before my wedding, my bridesmaids and I were frantically finishing up my wedding programs. It was such a mistake to wait til the last minute to do that. But there are some wedding projects that can't happen sooner. Here's how to schedule those into your pre-wedding week.
__
Five or six days before:__ Pick up your dress (if you haven't already), your veil (ditto), and the tuxes. Tux rentals tend to run just a week long, so make sure you have a plan to return that formalwear right after the wedding!
__
Four or five days before:__ Get your marriage license. (But don't forget to apply for it way sooner than that!) Some counties will give you a period of several weeks from the time you pick up your marriage license to the time you have to get married. I was too afraid of misplacing my license in that time so we (and by we, I mean Paul, because I couldn't take another day off work) picked it up just a few days before our wedding (so you know--you both need to be there when you initially apply for one).
__
Three or four days before:__ Last day at work! Even if you're already short on vacation days from work because of your honeymoon (I was!), I highly recommend taking off a couple of days before your wedding if you can swing it. Your job will just stress you out given everything else you have to do and think about. But don't skip the whole week. Your co-workers may want to throw you an office wedding shower (mine did!).
__
Two or three days before:__ Confirm addresses and delivery/arrival times with all vendors over the phone. Confirm your beauty appointments and honeymoon reservations, too. Many of your vendors will get in touch with you before you have a chance to confirm with them, and you may get e-mail confirmations from your honeymoon reservations.
