Can wandering traders sell cocoa beans?
In Java Edition, cocoa beans are only obtained through the natural generation of cocoa pods, while in Bedrock Edition, they can also be gotten in bonus chests, from fishing inside the jungle, bamboo jungle and sparse jungle biomes and during a trading with a wandering trader.
The trader can offer a wide variety of goods, from dyes and flowers to coral blocks or even nautilus shells. Also, since they like to travel, the Wandering Trader has its own way of dealing with hostile mobs.
Small traders buy cocoa beans directly from farmers, visiting them one by one. In a second stage, small buyers sell the beans to wholesalers, who in turn will re-sell them to exporters.
Cocoa beans were added to Minecraft in beta version 1.2, but initially they were unobtainable. In beta 1.4, they started appearing in dungeon chests, and then in release version 1.3. 1 they finally became a renewable resource — dropping from cocoa pods which grow on jungle trees.
Jungle saplings can produce extremely large trees that grow tall and have expansive foliage, which makes them both resource valuable and simultaneously challenging (early game) to harvest. Jungle trees have a chance to drop: Cocoa beans (30%)
A wandering trader despawns after being loaded for 48000 ticks (40 minutes, or 2 full Minecraft days), although ticks spent with the trading UI open are not counted. Naming the wandering trader with a name tag or placing the wandering trader in a boat/minecart does not prevent it from despawning.
When you kill a wandering trader in Minecraft, any leads attached to the trader llamas will break and you can get the lead as a drop. If the trader llama was holding a milk bucket or a Potion of Invisibility, these items would also have been dropped when the wandering trader was killed.
The jungle variant of farmer villagers will buy cocoa beans for emeralds.

Intermediaries such as small traders and wholesalers can play a role between cocoa farmers and exporters as described above. Sometimes, cocoa beans are sold directly to exporters by cooperatives, or even directly exported. Direct sourcing enhances traceability, proximity, trust, and efficiency in the supply chain.
Can you grow cocoa beans in Minecraft without a jungle?
You will have to find some in the wild first to kickstart your production. These beans are found inside cocoa pods that only grow on jungle tree trunks. So your first order of business is to find a jungle biome and harvest some pods. Each pod you break open will drop either two or three beans.
Mechanisms. No designs for a fully automatic farm are available at this time, as you are required to manually place cocoa beans on the jungle log to plant pods, however semi-automatic farms that harvest automatically but still require manual planting are possible and relatively cheap to build.
It requires high rainfall and temperatures to grow, as well as rainforest trees to offer shade and protection from too much light and damage caused by wind. Because cocoa farms are sensitive to this type of climate, they can only flourish in a narrow band of countries between 20 degrees north and south of the equator.
Cocoa beans were among the rarest obtainable items on old maps (after golden apples and cookies) as they could only be found in dungeons generated after the 1.4 patch (which is no longer true as of 1.9). Now they can be found on jungle trees, only in a jungle. As of 1.3.
Yes, this is true. No matter the combination, two villagers/wandering traders breeding with each other will always make a baby villager. In doing so, you will earn an advancement (possibly called "Stay a While") for breeding a wandering trader with a villager or another wandering trader.
There will need to be a platform over somewhere that can't spawn mobs, such as the Ocean. There will need to be a Bell in the middle, a hole around the Bell with Trapdoors to trick Wandering Traders into walking over it and a Water stream in that hole which will transport the trader to the player.
Spawning. The wandering trader appears randomly across the world or periodically in village gathering sites, usually near village meeting points, with 2 leashed trader llamas. At any time, there can be only one wandering trader naturally spawned in the world.
Additionally, villagers, wandering traders, and monsters other than the ones listed above, can be leashed using a map editor or NBT editor.
The more trading you do, the greater the increase in reputation - so the 5th trade with the wandering trader might get you double the reputation of the 1st. Reputation would go down when you hit or kill a wandering trader.
Wandering traders will not turn into witches when struck by lightning, unlike normal villagers.
Where can I trade cocoa?
Cocoa futures are traded on the Intercontinental Exchange in London and the New York Mercantile Exchange. Contracts are standardised for both quantity and quality, meaning that every contract is the same, regardless of who is buying or selling it.
Players will need to plant cocoa beans on the side of jungle logs for them to grow into cocoa pods. Each fully grown cocoa pod will drop around three cocoa beans.
Wandering traders do not drop any loot when they despawn.
Trading. Wandering traders can sell a cactus for three emeralds.
Trader llamas often despawn one tick before their trader does, because a trader llama has its DespawnDelay set to 47999 ticks. This value is decremented each tick that the llama is untamed, unleashed, and not being ridden by a player, and is reset to one less than the trader's own DespawnDelay if leashed to a trader.
