In order to get from Magic Kingdom to any of the other parks, you'll have to take a form of transportation. This is the same for Animal Kingdom as well. What is this? The only parks you can walk in between are EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
The fastest option to get to Magic Kingdom from EPCOT is usually the Monorail. This highway in the sky has a couple of lines, including one between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom and another between Magic Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom Resort Hotels.
The distance from Epcot to Magic Kingdom is approximately 4 miles.
Magic Kingdom park and EPCOT are connected via monorail. EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are connected via boat. Magic Kingdom park and Disney's Hollywood Studios are connected via bus. Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park is connected to the 3 other theme parks via bus.
Based on our calculations, Hollywood Studios requires the LEAST amount of walking, and Epcot requires the MOST amount of walking.
Doing both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT in one day requires a Park Hopper add-on to your ticket. Park Hopper add-ons are $65 per 1-day ticket, $75 per 2 or 3-day ticket, and $85 per 4 to 10-day ticket.
The Transportation and Ticket Center
The Magic Kingdom doesn't actually have a parking lot. Instead, guests can park at the Transportation and Ticket Center. They can then take either the Walt Disney World Monorail or a ferry boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon to reach the Magic Kingdom.
Helpful? You can take the monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom, there is a monorail station right outside the main entrance to Epcot. However it is much faster to take a bus. Taking the monorail, you need to transfer between Epcot and MK.
During busy times — Park opening and Park closing — the Monorail trains run about every ten minutes. If they are fully efficient, waits may even be shorter than that. During less busy times — or when Monorails encounter delays — wait times can increase substantially.

What is the least popular Disney park?
According to data from 2019, the Disney park that is least visited in Florida is Disney's Hollywood Studios. EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood studios are all in the same range at about 12 million visitors annually. Hollywood Studios used to be behind by about a million, but then they added “Toy Story Land”.
There's too much in the park to easily do in a single day. It's probably more of a one-and-a-half or two-day park. That said, this is a one day itinerary post, and there are a few approaches you can take to have one very good nearly perfect day at Magic Kingdom.
Can you monorail from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom? The answer is yes, but it's not direct. You have to transfer lines at the ticket center. But you can ride the EPCOT monorail to and from the ticket center at the Magic Kingdom parking lot.

If you're in a situation where you have to skip a park, you'll want to compare Epcot and Animal Kingdom. As a default—Epcot has the newest ride, along with the World Showcase, a legendary, unique Disney World experience, so we give it the edge.
If you only have a few days to visit Disney World, you may be wondering which park you should skip. The answer is Epcot. I know, I know, Epcot is a beloved park but trust me, I have some really good reasons as to why it's the Disney park to skip when you simply don't have enough time to visit each one.
As a general matter, Animal Kingdom is the park that requires the least strategy and is the easiest place to beat the crowds in all of Walt Disney World. It doesn't require Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lanes, and is pretty easy to knock out everything–and then some–if you stay for a full day.
Arriving at the Magic Kingdom 30–60 minutes before official opening ensures the shortest possible waits for rides. Off-site guests, who aren't eligible for Early Theme Park Entry, should arrive 30 minutes before official opening on all days.
EPCOT is arguably the least family-friendly park at Walt Disney World, so you may not need more than a few hours to do everything of interest if you have small children. With that said, a full day at EPCOT is highly recommended for first-timers.
Can you ride everything at Epcot in one day?
Although Epcot is one of the largest Walt Disney World parks in terms of square footage, it is possible to see the highlights in one day. Realize that you will not be able to see everything, and focus on having fun with the things you do see.
September is the best overall month to visit Disney World. Other than Labor Day, there are no holidays to bring in crowds and most families have returned home for the school year. This is therefore the least crowded time of year to visit Disney World.
We have learned that the least busy days in Magic Kingdom tend to be Tuesdays. The main reason is many families find that they need an entire week for a Disney vacation, and they will usually arrive on a Saturday or Sunday.
How Long Does the Monorail Take From EPCOT to Magic Kingdom? Depending on which Monorail that you are taking, times may vary but they are all in the 10 minute to 20 minute range. For a one way trip it can be as little as 10 minutes, and for a roundtrip it can be as long as 30 minutes.
Welcome to planDisney, Daniel! Daniel, I am happy to tell you that you do NOT need a theme park admission ticket to take a quick trip on the monorail. In fact, one of my family's favorite things to do on a non-park day is to have dinner at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel located on the monorail loop.
And, yes you can ride the monorail at Disney World for free. All Disney transportation to and from the theme parks is free and this includes the Walt Disney World monorail. Guests can use the free Disney monorail from the ticket and transportation center over to Magic Kingdom and also to EPCOT.
If you take the Skyliner, it drops you off to the back of Epcot, by World Showcase. You have to then ( assuming you have a park Hopper ticket) walk through And either take the Monorail to the TTC and transfer to either the Resort or Magic Kingdom Express Monorail.

The Express Monorail schedule begins 30 minutes prior to Magic Kingdom opening until 1 hour after regular hours park closing. The Resort Monorail runs from 7am until 1 hour after regular hours park closing at the Magic Kingdom.
The ferry may not appear faster, but it holds a lot of people so even if there is a crowd waiting to load you are very likely to get on and arrive at the Park quickly. The monorail usually takes just slightly longer, but it is perhaps the most iconic form of Disney transportation.

What is Disney's slowest day of the week?
Sometimes, Fridays are even busier than Saturdays! But if you want that lower-crowd experience, just swap your Magic Kingdom park day to a Tuesday. Since it's toward the middle of the week, it tends to be less busy and you might be able to hop on your favorite rides with shorter wait times.
EPCOT. In our experience, it's best to visit EPCOT during the week, primarily Monday-Wednesday. By the time you get to Thursday/Friday, the weekend crowds seem to take over, causing much higher wait times and a busier World Showcase.

Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom
In addition to being the most popular theme park from among all Disney-affiliated parks, the Magic Kingdom park is also the most widely visited theme park in the world.
Does Magic Kingdom have fireworks every night? Magic Kingdom does have fireworks nearly every night. However, keep in mind that on party nights, you'll need a special ticket to get inside to watch the fireworks. There are also a couple of days during the year when the park is reserved for a special party or event.
It would be very difficult to ride all the rides at Magic Kingdom in one day because there are more than 20 rides. Using Genie+ and Lightning Lane can allow you to minimize your wait times and enjoy as many rides as possible.
A surge of early birds arrive before or around opening time but are quickly dispersed throughout the empty park. After the initial wave is absorbed, there's a lull lasting about an hour after opening. Then the park is inundated for about 2 hours, peaking between 10 a.m. and noon.
Before the closure, guests could enjoy a ride around the parking lot to the entrance or walk; it was up to them. Right now, at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, there's no option other than to get your steps in. At the end of 2021, trams returned to the Magic Kingdom, and in May 2022, they appeared at Animal Kingdom.
Which park is easiest to hop to from Epcot?
It's easiest to Park Hop between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios due to the Skyliner, boat service, and walkway between the two parks. Intuitively, this makes these two parks the perfect pair.
Generally if you are planning to visit more than one park in a day it is best to choose from either EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. Since each of these parks likely contain a handful of attractions that are on your must-see list, it is possible to tackle a couple locations in a day.
If you are going to Animal Kingdom or Epcot
While we really, really think Genie+ is worth it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, we feel just as strongly as to it not being as necessary at Animal Kingdom and Epcot. But, while it isn't necessary, it can definitely make touring those 2 parks a lot, lot easier.
Does EPCOT Have Fireworks Every Night? Yes, EPCOT has a fireworks show on the schedule every night. Under normal circ*mstances, that show is Disney Harmonious and is open to all guests.
Firework shows happen nightly EXCEPT on nights when the park closes early (like for Mickey's-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, or for select events like Cast Member appreciation nights). There really aren't any spots to eat and watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

You do not need Theme Park tickets to enjoy the Disney Skyliner, so you can fly around as often as you want! There's plenty to discover at Disney's BoardWalk, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and I'm sure that you'll have a wonderful time on your extra days!
EPCOT's Skyliner station is located at the park's International Gateway (between the France and United Kingdom pavilion in World Showcase) and captures the beauty of the pavilions located near this part of the park.
As you can see, The Skyliner has a much faster ride time than the bus or the monorail, and you also don't have to worry about the gondolas being overcrowded or too full to get on. The longest part of the whole process will most likely be waiting in line to get on.
The EPCOT monorail station is located at the EPCOT main entrance at the front of the theme park. The Disney Skyliner station at EPCOT is located at the International Gateway entrance, which is located at the back of the theme park in World Showcase.
In March 2010, Disney debuted Monorail Coral in TRON livery on the Epcot line as part of a marketing plan for Tron: Legacy. Since the Tron paint scheme in 2010, there have been several other monorail wraps.
The EPCOT Monorail takes guests from the Transportation & Ticket Center to EPCOT and back. It takes about 15 minutes to travel from one park to the other, or 30 minutes round-trip. The monorail typically begins running a few hours before the park's opening.
