The wheels of a moving car exhibit rotational as well as linear motion. It not only rotates around its axis but also moves forward in a straight line. So, the wheels of the car are both in rotational as well as linear motion.
Since inertia dictates that a body in motion will continue to move in a straight line, a force must be applied to cause a vehicle to turn. This force is called Centripetal force, and is a result of tires stretching to pull the car from a straight path.
It is classified based on path, duration and speed. If you are sitting in a moving car, the car will be in motion and you will be at rest with respect to your friend sitting next to you. But, with respect to your surroundings, you are said to be in motion.
The motion of a car can be described by measuring the distance and time to calculate the speed. In order to determine the distance traveled by an object, you first have to establish the car's location (position) as well as its direction. A reference point from which distances can be measured must be selected.
Assuming you are driving a car on the road, consider the motion of the car. As the wheels of the car spin backwards, they push the road backwards. In consequence, the road must push the wheels forward according to the third law of motion. It is this reaction force acting on the wheels causes the car to move forward.
From the wave-particle duality, the wavelength of a moving object is indirectly proportional to its momentum. Thus if the mass is increased then the wavelength decreases. The mass of a moving car is very large which makes its wavelength very small to be seen in our eye. Hence a moving car is not seen as a wave.
There is still an applied force as long as the car axle is spinning and the wheels are gripping the road.
The rear wheels exert a force against the ground in a horizontal direction; this makes the car start to accelerate. When the car is moving slowly, almost all of the force goes into accelerating the car. The car resists this acceleration with a force that is equal to its mass multiplied by its acceleration.

The first law: a car in straight-line motion at a constant speed will keep such motion until acted on by an external force. The only reason a car in neutral will not coast forever is that friction, an external force, gradually slows the car down.
Is a car an example of motion?
Car moving on a straight road is an example of rectilinear motion. When two particles of a body travel same distance along 2 parallel straight lines then that is known as Rectilinear motion or straight-line motion.
