Can a Kwami be Akumatized?

I think that the Kwamis can become akumatized. With becoming akumatized, the only thing you need are powerful negative emotions. Kwami's are more than capable of that!! Just take Duusuu for example. From what we have seen, and heard about Duusuu, she crys a lot, and in my perspective that is a negative emotion. And think of Plagg and Tikki, they both lost many miraculous owners, some who even died in battle. They must feel depressed or even angry sometimes, even if they don't show it.

Kwamis are like tiny gods, embodiments of abstract ideas, and almost as ancient as the world itself. For example, we know that Tikki is the kwami of creation and Plagg is the kwami of destruction. They have huge powers that they seldom (never?) need to use even close to their real potential, and can acquire more powers (special qualities) via spells and potions.

Even if kwamis get depressed or angry, they are not human and their feelings are not strictly speaking "human emotions". It seems to me that Hawk Moth only akumatizes people because we have these human emotions. Many animals can also feel basic emotions like fear, aggression/hate and sadness. A suddenly abandoned cat or a violently kicked dog would make a good akuma target, yet Hawk Moth has never akumatized an animal.

Based on this I would have thought that kwamis themselves could not be akumatized, but this wiki's page on kwamis - not updated for a while because it refers to Season 2 as being in the future - says this:
It is unknown if kwamis can be akumatized, but Season 2 will have the answers, as revealed at the Miraculous Ladybug panel at SDCC 2016.
In "Queen Wasp", kwamis can be akumatized indirectly (except Nooroo himself) if the Miraculous they're inside of becomes the akumatized object.
If the Miraculous jewel gets destroyed, the kwami reverts to their spirit form, unable to be seen by living beings anymore.

I do agree with some of that WhiteBatKwami, however, it is shown that both Plagg, Tikki, Nooroo and all of the other Kwami's(from what we have seen) have strong feelings toward their masters. Nooroo is mistreated by his user, Gabriel, and although he does not act on it for he feels like he can change his "masters" ways, he still feels depressed about not being able to see his fellow Kwami's, and that he cannot change his masters mind. During Sandboy, Nooroo is downhearted that he cannot join his fellow Kwami's to celebrate his birthday, and even went to the means to tell his abusive master that they would try and contact him. Hawkmoth/Gabriel then used this knowledge to try and capture the Kwamis. Now what would Gabriel even do with the Kwamis? He couldn't ask them to say their masters name because on Sandboy, Tikki cannot say Marinette's name. He cannot ask them to show where Master Fu's "hideout" is or where the miracle box is. So what can he do? The only thing he can do is akumatize the Kwamis.

Although she can become annoyed or exasperated with others, Tikki doesn't stay upset at them for long, only wanting what's best for them and those around them. She can be hurt or displeased when someone isn't paying attention or appreciates her, displeased with Marinette unintentionally disregards her gift to her in "Befana".

It doesn't take a lot for a person(or Kwami) to become akumatized. You just have to feel negative emotions, Hawkmoth has to feel the negative emotions, then he sends out a purple evil butterfly. Now, as it shows in this article, Tikki can become annoyed and hurt. You don't even have to stay hurt for long, just enough to let Hawkmoth release his evil. In Befana, Tikki was angry with Marinette through the whole episode because she accidetally rejected Tikki's gift.

It's not my intention to argue:) but it seems to me that you missed my point. I'm not denying that kwamis have strong emotions, we have seen many times that they do. My point was that they are not human, and so far only people have been akumatized. Not animals, and not kwamis, regardless of their negative emotions.

I don't have anything against kwamis being akumatized as such, I just don't know if it is possible, that's all. As quoted in my post above, "In 'Queen Wasp', kwamis can be akumatized indirectly (except Nooroo himself) if the Miraculous they're inside of becomes the akumatized object." In other words, it's the Miraculous object that receives the akuma, and then the kwami could in theory become akumatized by proxy. But we did not see an akumatized version of Pollen, only of Queen Bee who became Queen Wasp. That would indicate that the kwami itself would not (could not?) be akumatized, only its holder/wielder.

I presume that Hawk Moth must know that the kwamis live inside the Miraculous box - he has a whole book of the subject after all - and in any case he knows they live inside their respective Miraculous objects; therefore, if he found out where they are, he would also learn the whereabouts of the box and all the Miraculous it contains. As for what he would do with them, he says it aloud: "I will make you my slaves, just like Nooroo!" It seems that he is after more power than just bringing back his wife since he now hopes to obtain all the Miraculous for himself.

(An afterthought: If Hawk Moth could akumatize a kwami, and IF he at some point possessed Plagg - the kwami of destruction - it sounds like the end of the world could be close at hand...!)

Robostus/Markov isn't alive and has been akumatized. Just because of the emotions. So we could assume that any human/animal/creature/beeing with emotions can be akumatized.

and...

!! SPOILER AHEAD!!

Jeremy Zag also said Hawk Moth will gain the power to akumatize objects.

With that knowledge we could assume that basically anyone and anything can be akumatized.

You are right, I forgot about Robostus.

Them again it's still possible that kwamis themselves could be too powerful for Hawk Moth to akumatize.

Well that certainly changes things. I wonder why we have not seen an akumatized animal so far. But if the whole concept of akumatization is based on the victim having strong negative emotions and Hawk Moth tapping onto them, it would make no sense if inanimate objects could become akumatized! Sounds like a plot for some silly old sci-fi or horror movie where cars, trees and washing machines come alive. Maybe they could make it work, but I'm not impressed by the idea.

I am not trying to aruge either WhiteBatKwami. I am sorry if I came off that way. But yes Miraculer Zeldas Link. I completly forgot about what Jeremy Zag said. and WhiteBatKwami, I do understand what your point was, However, just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't happen soon.:)
