- "This Earth is at the center of the multiverse. It's the access point to every other Earth in existence."
- —Hunter Zolomon[src]
Earth-1, name coined by Martin Stein, was a universe parallel to a plethora of others, supposedly located at the center of the multiverse. To Earth-2 citizens, or at least that Earth's Harrison Wells, Earth-1 was initially thought of as Earth-2.[1][2] Also, to Earth-17's citizens, it is known as Terra Prime.[3] Grodd has referred to this universe as First Earth.[4] After a massive exodus during the Crisis, it became home to 3 billion refugees from Earth-38 after that universe was destroyed by a wave of antimatter. Shortly after, however, the antimatter wave hit Earth-1 as well, vaporizing its population and destroying the entire multiverse with no Earths remaining. It was also the final Earth to be destroyed.
After Oliver Queen died while defeating the Anti-Monitor and reformed the universe, Earth-Prime was formed, which contained most elements of Earth-1, Earth-38, and Earth-TUD5. As such, while this Earth may be physically gone, its people live on as part of Earth-Prime.
Earth-1 was particularly important in that it was a central junction in the original multiverse, being the middle intersection from which one could travel to any other alternate universe.[5]

History
After learning of the existence of parallel worlds, Martin Stein coined the world's name, "Earth-1", to describe Team Flash's relative position in regards to all of the other worlds.[6] Beginning in the early 21st century, the universe became home to numerous groups of extraordinary protectors, such as the vigilante unit Team Arrow, the scarlet speedster known as the Flash and his team of allies who emerged after the explosion of the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator that gave rise and prominence to super powered meta-humans, and John Constantine's group of mystical allies. Even in other times, similar such heroes operated, such as the secret mid-20th century alliance the Justice Society of America, and the time-traveling Legends, who were associated with the top-secret organization of the Time Bureau.
In 2019, during the Anti-Monitor Crisis, a wave of antimatter sent by the Anti-Monitor destroyed this universe, however, with the help of Paragons and the Spectre, parts of Earths-1 were merged with Earth-38 and Earth-TUD5 to form Earth-Prime.[7]

Trivia
- Earth-1 vibrated at a lower frequency than Earth-2 before the universes were destroyed by antimatter.
- Earth-1's vibrational frequency is calibrated at a molecular level. [8]
- Earth-1, along with Earth-38, was one of the few universes where the multiverse was not public knowledge. As a result, King Shark and Black Siren (from Earth-2) were mistaken for their Earth-1 counterparts.
- Only a small number of individuals outside of the government knew of extraterrestrial life on Earth-1; whereas the existence of it was common knowledge on the Earth of Earth-38, at least in the 21st century. Also, unlike Earth-1, there were a unknown number of various alien species and races that were generally well known about; that might not have existed on Earth-1 (besides Dominators and Thanagarians; see below).
- It was identical to Earth-38 in many ways such as aesthetics, time, the existence of real-life figures such as celebrities, politicians and artists, currency, law enforcement, crime, vigilantism, government, mass media, fine art, history, historical events, holidays, politics, political issues, the internet, magic, life, everyday life, physical laws, nature, Greek Mythology, science, popular culture and technology unlike many other Earths.
- There were two known alien species that exist in Earth-1 and existed in Earth-38, they were Dominators and Thanagarians.
- Authorities such as The F.B.I. (Federal Bureau of Investigation), The United States Army, and the FAA all existed on Earth-1 as well.
- Earth-1 was the last universe to be destroyed during the Anti-Monitor Crisis, and thus was the last universe of the original multiverse to exist.
- Time travel and the Crisis create a contradiction. Unless every time someone went into the future, they slipped into Earth-Prime's timeline.
- Eobard and Nora came from post-Crisis (then happened in 2024) eras.
- The year 3000 was visited by the Waverider.
- Vandal Savage took over the world in 2166, to prevent the Thanagarian Invasion.
- When Barry attempted to go to December 11, 2019, the timeline possibly didn't exist.
- This is likely because in the original timeline, the Crisis occurred in 2024, and it is possible that Earth-Prime never existed in the original Crisis. After the defeat of Cicada in 2019, the timeline changed, and the Crisis occurred earlier. It is possible that due to this, the timeline altered the outcome of the Crisis, as well, which resulted in the Multiverse's destruction and eventual rebirth, so time travel on Earth-1 was no longer possible after said change in the timeline.
- In "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three", Barry stated that there was no quantum tower on Earth-1 after doing some reconnaissance meaning it was not a keystone Earth like Earth-38 was. It is an unexplained observation given that it was the main Earth in the original multiverse as well as the access point to all of the others.
- The antimatter wave that swallowed Earth-1 (when it stopped) was a partially reused scene from when Earth-38 was about to be destroyed by it, before dissipating when the antimatter cannon overloaded itself. Compare these images:
