Pets are not allowed on Park & Zoo grounds, only service animals. Please view our service animal guidelines here.
Dogs are allowed at our other Parks; Park East, Park South and Park North following these rules.

How much is daily admission?

Admission to The Cape May County Park & Zoo is completely FREE. Your donations keep us free.

Is there a charge for parking?

Parking is FREE for personal vehicles and is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. We charge only for buses. Reserve a bus permit here.


What are your hours for admission?

Fall/Winter Zoo Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (November 3, 2023 - March 7, 2024)

Summer Zoo Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (March 8, 2024 - November 1, 2024)

Are you open today?

The Zoo is open EVERY DAY but Christmas! Some holidays may have early closings (2:30 pm in the Winter). Please view our home page announcements for any weather related or special event closings.


Park Hours: 7:00 a.m. to dusk year-round.

Are motorized wheel chairs available for rent?

Yes, strollers, wheelchairs, and motorized scooters rentals are available at the Gift Shop. For more information on rentals and to make a reservation ahead of your visit, please call the Gift Shop at 609-465-0971.

No, sorry, the County of Cape May has a no refund policy, but we can help you reschedule within the same calendar year.

Yes, there is one ATM available at The Cape May County Park & Zoo which is located inside of our gift shop near the entrance of the Zoo.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Traveler’s checks for everything here. Including donations.To donate online with a credit card, click here.


Can we bring outside food and beverages? Can we bring coolers and bags?

Food is permitted anywhere in the Park - outside of the Zoo. However no food is allowed to be brought into the Zoo, but non-alcoholic beverages can be carried in. Baby food and bottles are allowed, just not snacks. Coolers and bags are allowed, however alcohol is strictly prohibited anywhere in the Park or Zoo. If you have concerns regarding a food allergy and the concessions food options please call the cafe' at 609-465-0971.


Can we smoke in the zoo?

The Cape May County Zoo is smoke and tobacco free. Vaping is also not allowed.
