How big is Magic Kingdom Disney World?
Magic Kingdom is potentially the most iconic Disney park in Orlando, home to the incredible Cinderella’s castle, which watches over the rest of Disney World. It boasts 23 rides in total, seven full-service restaurants, plenty more quick service dining options, and countless other shops, sights, and attractions. Magic Kingdom is actually technically the smallest park, if you can believe that as you wander the countless streets! Cinderella’s castle, located in the heart of Magic Kingdom, is a towering, stunning feature of the park, that is, quite literally, unmissable if you are paying a visit. It stands at 189 feet tall, and was built with a design in mind that helps it to look even bigger than it is. Though it may be considered quite a small building generally, it is 112 feet taller than the Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland in California.
Inside, it houses a boutique, a restaurant which is open to all to visit, and even a secret suite that is not open for visitors. It is also surrounded by a moat, containing around 12,800 cubic meters of water, and boasts 27 towers in total.
How big is Epcot in Disney World?
Epcot is the second biggest Disney Park at Disney World Orlando, offering four main areas known as ‘neighbourhoods’, and features 10 rides with the latest addition of Remy’s Ratatouille adventure. If you include the other attractions available at Epcot, there are 40 things to do in total. The neighbourhoods in Epcot park are: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase.
How big is Animal Kingdom in Disney World?
Interestingly, Animal Kingdom is the largest Disney park in the entire world — but it has the least rides! Offering 9 rides in total and plenty more attractions, eateries, and shops, it clocks in with 6 areas: the Oasis, Discovery Island, Pandora – The World of Avatar, Africa, Asia, and Dinoland U.S.A.
How big is Hollywood Studios in Disney World?
Only slightly bigger than Disney’s Magic Kingdom is Hollywood Studios, divided into a massive total of 7 lands: Hollywood Boulevard, Echo Lake, Grand Avenue, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, Animation Courtyard and, of course, Sunset Boulevard. What’s even more fascinating, is that only half of the land at Disney World is actually being used. A lot of the land owned by Disney is wetland so can’t be built on, whilst the rest is being kept for conservation. This means there’s always a chance of expansion!

The biggest difference between Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland is the size. Although California’s theme park is still packed with fun attractions where you could easily spend weeks enjoying, it only covers 500 acres, compared to Disney World’s 25,000 acres. This means it could actually fit inside Disney World Orlando 51 times!
Both Disney World and Disneyland offer four parks in total. However, Disneyland offers a total of 49 rides and 53 attractions. Disney World, on the other hand, offers 52 rides and an estimated further 129 attractions. In terms of rides, there isn’t much difference between the two, but DIsney World definitely wins the crown for more attractions.
You may be surprised to see that, in the grand scheme of things, Disneyland doesn’t actually offer much less than Disney World, especially considering how much bigger the park in Orlando is compared to the park in California. This is mostly down to the extra, unused land that Disney World owns.
