How did Jotaro stop time during the road roller?

I want this entire scene explained for me because I really don’t get it. Jotaro has 2 seconds to move in DIO’s stopped time. Can these seconds be distributed throughout the time stop? Can they only be used in the beginning? How did he have time to defend himself against the road roller and stop time at the 9th second?

The 9 second Length was the end of DIO´s TS.

Jotaro simply just chained the TS with his own and learned how to use it at that exact moment.

@LAZYCRAZYGAMER so you’re saying he gets to choose when he can use his 2 seconds

The DIO fight was the boost Jotaro needed to fully develop SP and like Lazy said chain time stop’s

Yea

Jotaro learned how to stop time for 5 seconds at that very moment.

Did Jotaro get lucky?

Well no its just fate being a b**ch towards DIO.

I mean, DIO did say the Joestars’ get ridiculously lucky

Because of Fate.

Pucci stated something about how the Kujo´s Were ¨Fated¨ to help Pucci in obtaining Heaven.

Everything that happened in parts 1-6(Not counting 5) is because of Fate.

Edit: Wrong post
