One Piece: Devil Fruits That Would Be Perfect For Zoro (2024)

Roronoa Zoro is the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the most beloved characters in One Piece. Zoro set out on his journey to becoming the greatest swordsman in the world by defeating Dracule Mihawk, the man who currently sits on the stone.

Over the years, he has come a long way and become one of the strongest pirates on the seas. Zoro has attained terrific strength, but he does not rely on a Devil Fruit at all. However, had Zoro eaten a Devil Fruit, there are some that would suit him more than others.

However, having a Devil Fruit is always an advantage over not having one. This has already been confirmed in the story on several occasions already. If, for the sake of it, Zoro were to eat a Devil Fruit, there are quite a few that would fit him perfectly. While this list already goes over the best Devil Fruits for Zoro, there are others that would aid him greatly and, thus, deserve a mention of their own. 10 Buki Buki no Mi

The Buki Buki no Mi is a very powerful Devil Fruit that allows the user to turn their body into any weapon that they can think of. This fruit was used extensively by Baby 5 during the Dressrosa Saga. Using this Devil Fruit, Zoro would be able to turn himself into a multitude of weapons. While he is primarily a swordsman, having the option to use something else would certainly not be bad at all.

He would also be able to turn any part of his body into a sword or any other form of a blade and then use it in combat. This Devil Fruit is one that would be very fun for the fans to see Zoro use and given his incredible fighting intellect, he would certainly make amazing use of it.

9 Onigumo's Devil Fruit

Onigumo is a Vice Admiral of the Marines whom fans have seen a couple of times in One Piece. He was present during the Paramount War, where he displayed his Devil Fruit abilities to the fans. Curiously, his Devil Fruit was a Zoan type that allowed him to turn into some kind of spider. He's then able to grow hairy limbs from his body and create six more arms to wield a total of eight swords.

This Devil Fruit is certainly one that would fit Zoro perfectly. Not only would it give him the ability to wield 8 swords in combat, but it would also give him the power of a Zoan type. This means that Zoro would gain all the benefits of this classification of Devil Fruits, such as improved physical attributes. He would be much faster, stronger, and have a much better recovery rate as well. All these attributes would make him a better fighter and someone who would definitely be troublesome for the vast majority of the fighters to deal with.

8 Urouge's Devil Fruit

Urouge is a member of the Worst Generation pirates and that automatically means that he has made a great name for himself. While he is a very interesting character, the most interesting thing about him is his Devil Fruit. This Devil Fruit will also be incredibly fitting for Zoro.

Essentially, this unnamed Devil Fruit allows the user to soak up as much damage as they can. The damage can then be retaliated as karma using a technique called Inga Zarashi. Given that Zoro is an absolute tank who loves to soak up damage, this fruit would benefit him greatly in combat. After taking life-threatening attacks, Zoro would be able to retaliate with all that power and more, with his counterattacks. This would mean all his attacks would get a tremendous boost, making him a much stronger fighter overall. There are almost definitely other applications of this Devil Fruit that fans have not seen just yet. Under Zoro, fans would definitely be treated to other abilities that this fruit offers and, that would be another positive of Zoro having this fruit.

7 Mythical Zoan Oni Devil Fruit

Every fan of One Piece knows that Zoro has drawn comparisons to the demon itself on several occasions. In fact, Zoro has also drawn some comparisons to Oni as well. The fact is, in the world of One Piece, Ancient Giants, certainly exist. The Oni kind is also prevalent in the One Piece world as well, and Kaido and Yamato are proof of that.

As such, someone wishing for their powers would then give birth to an Oni Devil Fruit and it isn't outside the realms of possibilities for this fruit to actually exist. Zoro would absolutely be the perfect user for this Devil Fruit.

Being an Ancient Zoan kind, it would give Zoro incredible physical prowess and a massive amount of strength boost, which is what he craves most. At the same time, all his physical attributes would be drastically improved. The biggest advantage of having this Devil Fruit would be the increased strength and, more importantly, the increased recovery rate. Zoro would be almost impossible to stop with this power.

6 Bara Bara no Mi

The Bara Bara no Mi is yet another incredible Devil Fruit that would be fitting for the Straw Hat Swordsman. It belongs to the Paramecia class and it basically makes the user impervious to slash-based attacks. It also allows them to split their body parts apart and control them as they will within a certain sphere.

The ability to fly can also be granted with this Devil Fruit with only the feet of the user staying on the ground. This fruit would make Zoro a very difficult swordsman to fight against, given that his body would not receive any cuts. It would also make him much more unpredictable as a fighter, especially because he would be able to chop his body parts up and control them however he wants.

5 Supa Supa no Mi

The Supa Supa no Mi, also called the Dice Dice Fruit, is a powerful Paramecia type of fruit eaten by none other than Daz Bones, a former member of the Baroque Works. This Devil Fruit is exceptionally powerful and it allows its user to turn their entire body into a blade. Any part of their body can be used as a blade, as was seen in the Alabasta arc of the story.

The Supa Supa no Mi is an exceptionally powerful fruit, especially when coupled with someone who knows how to wield it. Mr. 1 became a world-renowned assassin with its powers. Under Zoro, this Devil Fruit would be outstanding. This is especially down to the fact that Zoro is an exceptional user of the Color of Arms Haki. He can also produce long-ranged slashes and defeating him in combat would be a nightmare for anyone.

4 Hana Hana no Mi

The Hana Hana no Mi is a powerful Paramecia-type of Devil Fruit eaten by Zoro's crewmate, Nico Robin. This Devil Fruit allows the user to sprout any part of their body from anywhere. With advanced control, the user can even create an entire clone of themselves. What's more, they can also create giant constructs of themselves and even turn into demonic figures. This Devil Fruit would be fitting for Zoro as it would give him multiple arms to wield even more swords. As a child, Zoro believed that the more swords he wields, the stronger he will be.

Fans know that at his strongest, Zoro wields nine swords in combat with his Asura form. Furthermore, this Devil Fruit would also be thematically fitting for Zoro as he has drawn connections to demonic powers in the past as well. The powers of Demonio Fleur would certainly be fitting for a man believed to have a demonic aura.

3 Riki Riki no Mi

The Riki Riki no Mi is another powerful Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that was recently introduced in the story after the events of the Wano arc. This Devil Fruit is currently in the possession of none other than Jesus Burgess, the captain of the first ship of the Blackbeard Pirates. This Devil Fruit works in a very simple manner as it grants a tremendous amount of raw power boost to its wielder.

With its powers, Burgess was seen becoming capable of lifting an entire mountain with ease. While there is likely a limit to how much it increases the strength of the user, that limit has not been confirmed to the fans yet. Zoro is a character who values raw strength quite a lot and fans have seen him make use of his raw strength on several occasions. With this Devil Fruit, Zoro would gain even further strength and this would make him stronger than ever before. All his attacks would hit harder and stronger and his overall powers would be boosted significantly with the Riki Riki no Mi.

2 Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Tiger

Out of all the Devil Fruits on this list, the Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Tiger is the only one that has not been confirmed to exist so far. However, given that the Leopard model has been confirmed to exist, eaten by Rob Lucci, this one certainly would as well. Zoro has always drawn connections to Tigers and, as such, this Devil Fruit would be perfect for him.

It would symbolically fit his character and, at the same time, make him much stronger as well. Zoro's already impressive sword skills would be boosted even further. What's more, he would also get a powerful hybrid form that would make him a much better fighter than he is currently. Zoro would also receive a boost in all his attributes, such as strength, speed, as well as recovery rate.

1 Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryuu

The Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryuu is one of the strongest Devil Fruits to exist in the world of One Piece. This Devil Fruit belongs to the Mythical class and was eaten by none other than the Yonko of the Sea, the King of Beasts, Kaido. This Devil Fruit allows its user to transform into a dragon and a dragon-human hybrid at well. It also grants the power to control certain elements of nature, such as lightning, fire, and even wind.

Oda has already mentioned that if Zoro were to have a Devil Fruit, he would have the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryuu. This Devil Fruit would instantly make him one of the strongest characters in the world of One Piece and given that he already possesses powerful Haki, he would be almost unstoppable. Along with the tremendous strength boost and the power to control the elements, Zoro would also gain the tough scales of a dragon, meaning that his body would be nearly impenetrable. Truly, this Devil Fruit would be perfect for Zoro in nearly every way.
