The Weeknd is on top of the world.

The artist, born Abel Tesfaye, has become the most popular artist across the globe, according to Guinness World Records, which dubbed the "Can't Feel My Face" singer king of streams Monday.

The announcement was tied to two world records broken by the 33-year-old based onSpotifydata.

The Canadian artisthad the most monthly listeners on Spotify grabbing the attention of 111.4 million users as of Monday and he was also the first artist to have 100 million monthly listeners on the platform.

Miley Cyrus followed with82.4 million monthly listeners.

According to Guinness, The Weeknd's streaming traffic pop follows the release of his"Die For You" TikTok viral remix which features Ariana Grande— one of a number of tracks the two artists have collaborated on including "Off the Table", "Love Me Harder" and "Save Your Tears."

The Weeknd is no strangerto breaking records and setting precedents.

The "Starboy" artist has two other Guinness World Records titles both awarded in 2016. He earned a certificate for the most streamed album on Spotify in 2015 for Beauty Behind the Madnessand a second for the longest consecutive streak of weeks as a solo male artist in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100.

And it doesn't stop there.

The Weeknd has crafted record-breaking releases (in 2022, “Dawn FM” charted 24 songs on Billboard’s Global 200 chart), boycottedthe Grammy Awardsand has broken the mold while taking on iconic performance opportunities such as the Super Bowl 55 halftime show, during which he delivered a charismatic performance — but not in a way many artists who preceded him had.

Bucking Super Bowl tradition, The Weeknd didn't bring out any guests in 2021, despite having an arsenal of fan-favorite collaborations withartists including Grande, Daft Punk ("Starboy") or Kendrick Lamar ("Pray For Me"). Instead, he stuck to a narrative originated in his "After Hours" album and visuals, with a Sin City backdrop and face-bandaged backup dancers in red suits.
