Can two people sit together on Splash Mountain?
Splash Mountain®- Seats two/three. One adult and two smaller children can fit in one seat. In fact, Cast Members will encourage three to a seat when they recognize it's possible.
There are 6 seats, but the last seat can fit an adult and small child.
If you are thin, 3 across will work on Splash mountain also. I did this with my two kids. It's a tighter squeeze than BTMRR though.
Try to sit in the back of the log behind larger people in the first few rows if at all possible. Duck down as you go down the hill, and try to let the people in front of you absorb most of the watery impact.
The ride has hidden sprinklers that add water to make the splash more dramatic. Some people say they turn the sprinklers down during colder weather, but that won't keep you dry. You will get wetter if you sit in the front rows than if you sit in the back.
It is almost a certainty that you will get wet, and possibly drenched, riding Splash Mountain. During the summer months, the water jets are cranked up to 11, practically guaranteeing that you'll get soaked. If you visit on a cool day, you may want to carry a plastic garbage bag.
If you want to put the “splash” in Splash Mountain and you don't mind getting wet, sit in the front row. Sitting in the front row will ensure that you get wet! If you want to stay on the drier side while on this ride, sit in the back row.
Toys ages 8 and older may ride alone. If your whole family was to ride Splash Mountain, you can fit 2 people in each row, but your eldest two still may not ride together because your eldest is not 14 (she cannot supervise your 6 year old, but she may ride alone). This is when Rider Switch is handy.
Seating capacity per row: 2 to 3 guests, depending on size. Two average size adults or one adult plus two small children will fit comfortably in each row. Cast members may seat two adults and one child in a row, which can be tight.
Restraints. It's been on the cards for several years and now the Splash Mountain logs have been equipped with lap bar restraints.
Are Disney rides fat friendly?
Disney World assured us that no theme park attractions have weight limits. However, many rides feature restraint devices which may prevent some guests from being able to ride. However, just because a ride has a seatbelt or lap bar doesn't mean it's not size-friendly.
Children may beg for wilder rides, such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain, but must be at least 40 inches tall to board them. Parks to See: The Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
Splash Mountain definitely doesn't need restraints because it is just too short.

The small drops are more fun than thrilling, and there is more than one way to get wet along the way! Splash Mountain's main drop is a 5-story, 50-foot plunge at a 45-degree angle at a speed of about 40 mph! You will definitely lose your stomach (and your mouse ears!)
