Is Disney more expensive in October?
The cheapest time to go to Disney World is January, with prices increasing from the end of January into Presidents Day weekend. Once that weekend passes, the cheapest times are July through mid-September and a few scattered dates—particularly at Value Hotels—in October through December.
Crowds and Rates

We have learned that the least busy days in Magic Kingdom tend to be Tuesdays. The main reason is many families find that they need an entire week for a Disney vacation, and they will usually arrive on a Saturday or Sunday.
Well, our readers were overwhelmingly in favor of spending half a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. In fact, 55% of you voted for this park. There aren't too many attractions here, and wait times are usually low (with the exception of Flight of Passage!), so we totally get why this may be your pick.
The best days to visit Animal Kingdom are Monday through Wednesday as it is typically much less crowded due to visitors from all over the world planning their trips around the weekend. Out-of-state visitors usually arrive on Thursdays, stay for the weekend, and then typically leave on Sunday and/or Monday.
A Magic Kingdom itinerary is simply a must if your family only has one day at Disney World. The main reason being the Magic Kingdom Park is by far the most-visited theme park in the world.
As of 2022, Walt Disney World is at full operations and not putting in any capacity restrictions due to COVID-19.
I hate paying extra for anything, but Genie+ was well worth it to me when I tested it out at Walt Disney World last spring. The reservation-based system saved me more than six hours of time in line for a then flat $15. With the dynamic pricing introduced last fall, Genie+ can now sometimes cost twice as much.

Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverage items into the park for self-consumption, provided they are not in glass containers and do not require heating, reheating, processing, refrigeration or temperature control and do not have pungent odors.
No matter what your plans may be, Magic Kingdom will always be the best choice for your first park. Seeing the iconic Cinderella Castle, watching your favorite characters parade around, and walking onto Main Street USA is the perfect way to get you into the Disney mood and help you feel the magic, as its name suggests.
What do you wear to Disney in October?
Short sleeve t-shirts or tank tops are ideal clothes to wear at Disney World in October. The weather is still warm to hot, so you don't want to feel sweaty or suffocated by wearing long sleeves in the middle of the day.
Because Disney has to staff hotels, restaurants, theme park attractions, and transportation, they offer the best deals to the people who book early because it helps them staff appropriately. The best discounts are almost always offered 3 - 6 months in advance.
The best time to visit Orlando is from mid-September to early November. During this admittedly quite brief time, the temperatures are down from their summer highs of 90°F (32°C) into a more comfortable range of around 75°F (23.9°C).
Hurricane season is officially June 1st to November 20th. From mid August to mid October is the highest risk.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is probably the most crowded park in Disney World on a regular basis. Although crowds will be drawn away from it on special occasions such as New Years Eve or the 50th anniversary celebration, every regular day here include high wait times and crowds.
A surge of early birds arrive before or around opening time but are quickly dispersed throughout the empty park. After the initial wave is absorbed, there's a lull lasting about an hour after opening. Then the park is inundated for about 2 hours, peaking between 10 a.m. and noon.
Does Genie Plus sell out?
Walt Disney World Genie Plus is the current iteration of the original FastPass system. Typically this paid FastPass service does not sell out at Walt Disney World though it has happened during the busiest seasons.
