Rebirth Island is one of the most popular Warzone maps released, and many players are hoping it will make a return.
This map was first released in December 2020. Since its arrival, it has cultivated a large following of players who believe it is one of the better Battle Royale maps.
As of now, it is currently unavailable on Warzone, and it has not made an appearance since November 16, 2022 but is that about to change?
Is Rebirth Island Returning?
Yes, Rebirth Island will be returning to Warzone. At the moment, no specific release date has been mentioned but Call of Duty stated on its X account it will arrive later in 2024.
Additionally, fan-favorite Fortune’s Keep will also be making a return. This map will arrive in early 2024, coming to the game before Rebirth Island.

Fortune’s Keep will return early next year and Rebirth Island will follow later in 2024, making it our most diverse map rotation in Call of Duty: #Warzone pic.twitter.com/AkL7J07Twi
The addition of these two maps will come to the game to make, in Call of Duty’s words, the “most diverse map rotation in Call of Duty: Warzone.”
This means players will have the following maps all playable at some point during Modern Warfare 3:
- Urzikistan
- Ashika Island
- Vondel
- Rebirth Island
- Fortune’s Keep
It is not known whether any updates will be made to the returning maps but for console players, there will certainly be a new experience.
PlayStation and Xbox gamers will be able to play on these maps with an adjusted FOV slider, something they were unable to do in the original Warzone. We certainly can’t wait to drop back into Alcatraz!
