Who kills Whitebeard?
Blackbeard. Blackbeard is a Whitebeard Pirate's defector who left to form his own crew. Blackbeard is the one who struck the final blow to Whitebeard during Marineford while taking Whitebeard's powers for his own.

Whitebeard dies standing, right after telling Blackbeard that he is not the one Roger is waiting for, saying that the will of people like Ace will not die and there will be one that will challenge the world in the future, and then telling the world that One Piece does exist, much to the chagrin of Sengoku.
In the manga, after Akainu melted off a portion of his head, Whitebeard lost his left eye and the left side of his mustache (this was changed to just losing the left side of his mustache in the anime) as well as a massive hole in his torso (a second, bigger hole in the stomach was also dealt by Akainu in the anime).

The two met during the Summit War of Marineford and, although their time was short, had come to respect each other. Whitebeard was impressed by Luffy's performance and sheer determination to save Ace and went so far as to order his entire crew to follow his lead.
Edward Weevil, or "Whitebeard Jr.", is a pirate claiming to be the son of Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate. He is the son of Miss Bakkin, the self-proclaimed lover of Newgate. He served as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, whom he joined sometime during the two-year timeskip, and did so until the Warlords' dissolution.
